We purchased three Motorola Razr2 V9x phones (black) about a month ago and we're in the process of returning them now. Our initial impression with the phones was that they were sleek, sturdy, well-built, slim, nice screens, and attractive. But after using them for a couple of weeks, their flaws (in our eyes) surfaced. The battery life is much lower than our previous phones (one of them a Sanyo Katana), the sound quality during a call sounds muffled, and many calls were dropped. To Motorola's credit, we've never had ATT wireless before, so the dropped calls could be ATT's fault. Also, the buttons along the side of the phone are tiny and very difficult to distinguish by feel. I frequently adjust the earpiece volume during calls using the side volume buttons, and the volume buttons on this phone are very awkward to use. There is a button on the other side of the phone that activates the camera, and I frequently press that button during calls unintentionally, causing the camera to come up (very annoying). While the buttons on the keypad seem sturdy and look nice, they're also not very distinguishable and therefore difficult for me to use accurately (but I have big hands). The purchasing experience on Amazon was great, but the "exchange" process has not been easy. Amazon does not exchange ATT cell phones, so we had to return them. But when you return them, you can't get the new account discount through Amazon since your account is already active. And if you cancel your account, you can't purchase new ATT phones from Amazon for 60 days. The end result of all this is that we're having to return the phones to Amazon and order new ones through ATT. ATT is fortunately going to price-match Amazon's price for purchasing phones with a new activation.

The home charger did not work and the battery sucks, it want stay charged for no more than 2 days, with little usage. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Saved me from buying an overpriced iPhone. The only downside is that they don't have a signed GMail app for it yet.

It's a shame Moto has dropped the RAZR line, since this is an awesome phone. Great battery life, terrific reception, great camera, and the touch screen on the front just adds to the versatility of this phone. I know the trend is going to smart phones, but this is the best non-smart phone out there. Hands down, this is the best phone I've ever owned.

I read a few reviews before I purchased this phone and main reason was sound quality. The V9x has just that, I don't text or send pics much, just use the phone for voice contacts. It is loaded with a lot of features that I can use if I need to (another reason for the purchase)like the mp3 player. The 3mp camera is nice for my contact photos and you can view pictures and album covers on the front screen with flipping the phone open. I had a Samsung whose screen died on me after 1 1/2 yrs that I liked and wish the Moto did some of the same things but applications change quickly. All being said I like this phone.

product was promply delivered. Amazon verified eligibility in a matter of minutes. I have some concerns about the duribility of the product but time will tell. I am enjoying my new phone

Do not listen to the reviews that are saying this is not a good deal, if you have an account in good standing and qualify with AT&T it is a great deal. I oredered, the phone arrived, I activated immediately and I found it is the real deal!! [...]Go for it!!

The first razor, which I loved, picked up a lot better. With this new razor2 I have to find a good spot in the break room to be able to talk to my girl when I'm on break. The first razor worked everywhere in the plant I work at...... I thought the new razor would be better than the first..... but.... I guess not.....
