This phone is great. It is so small and easily fits in your pocket. But, I would most definitely get a case for it as it is so small, it probably could fall out of your pocket/purse and not even be noticed. The reception is great. The menus are easy to follow and the camera takes wonderful pictures. I'm not sure how masculine it would be for a man to have, though. It is kinda dainty. I bought my daughter one and fell in love with it so I bought myself one.

I've had nothing but bad experience with this phone. It froze up like an old computer all the time. I couldnt even turn it off, I had to take off the battery to turn it off then back on.Definitely not a fan of this phone!

I bought this phone as soon as I could afford it when it came out because I am sick and tired of filling my pockets with a bunch of big, bulky crap. Girls pockets are not meant to carry anything bigger than a credit card, and I don't carry a purse, so a tiny phone was just what I needed. This phone had every feature I could ever want or use (I could call and text on it, and sometimes I took a picture), and it was fun to program the people in my phone book with their own ringtones (okay, a lot of phones do that, but the phone I have now, unfortunately, does not). This phone took quite a few beatings on my behalf as well, and still performed beautifully. It met it's untimely end when I accidentally dropped it in a toilet (don't ask), and from that day forward, it would only ring on the vibrate setting and the 1 button didn't work. Sadness. I eventually went to get a new one, but was told at the Cingular store that they only offered this phone as a Go Phone now, and reluctantly bought a new, sucky phone thats the size of a small dog! I should buy a new Pantech off of Amazon, and all will be right with the world again.

Designed for incompatibility,

High marks for small size and usability of the buttons. Menus were quickly learned even with only intermittent use.Battery life is far far less than what you are led to expect. I live where there is a consistent, very strong signal which should be near optimal for battery life. Sitting powered on, but totally unused, the battery goes from fully charged to totally discharged in 80-130 hours of "digital standby time" vs the 250 hours claimed (3-6 days vs 10). The connector uses the same shell as a range of phones from other vendors (LG?), but the pin-outs are incompatible. Worse yet, Pantech is unwilling to provide this information (I sent queries to Support twice and they neither replied nor put it on their FAQ). AT&T/Cingular makes this information "available" via a posting by a customer on one of its forums. I have several charger kits that have interchangeable connectors, covering a wide range of phones. I have yet to find one of these kits that handles Pantech. Aside: the reason I like the kits is that you can share: for example, if a passenger in your car needs to charge up his phone, a simple switch of the connector handles it. You can get a lot of "brownie points" for this. Although data cables for the C3 have recently become available, they come with major caveats (enough to discourage me for the time being). Reportedly the software can be difficult to install, additional freeware is need to do anything useful, and you cannot modify your phonebook or calendar, only back them up. I like to carry PDFs of manuals on my laptop and/or PDA (a Palm). The Pantech manual lacked the markup needed to be usefully converted for the PDA. An email to Pantech on this has gone unacknowledged. I got my C3 in late December 2006, as the local AT&T stores were transitioning from the C300 to the C3.

My experience with this phone.,
This review is from: Pantech C3 Phone (Unlocked, Intl. Version) no U.S. Warranty (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this phone from cingular around 3 months ago. Just over the last week my phone has been freezing during calls. Last night it happend twice during one call and I had to turn my phone off then back on for anything on it to work again. The picture quality could be better and the flash works only if your with-in about a foot away from the camera. I hope to be replacing this phone soon with a different one. Next time before purchasing a phone I will read up on it more.
