Heavy-duty, hard-swinging Salsa., September 4, 2009

This classic album is filled with searing-hot, frenetic, in-your-face Guaguancos and Guarachas from a band that enjoyed a very loyal cult following in Puerto Rico during the 1970s. Originally released on the tiny Horoscopo label (the original LP is considered a highly-prized collector's item by many) this is heavy-duty 1970s Salsa at its best and it's great to have it available on CD properly remastered. On a historical note, the extremely high quality of this music proves that there were labels other than Fania (and its affiliates) releasing Salsa records during the genre's golden era. Enjoy!
