Good Dirty Fun,
By A Customer
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
Panties is a fun book. It's hard to know what to expect from the cover, but the book did not disappoint. It's not just a bunch a photos of girls posing in their panties. The photos look more candid than staged. The girls come in all ages and sizes although there are more younger than older. skinny young girls and chunky smiling girls, the common theme being the panties. These girls are not obvious model types. They are cute, interesting and a couple of them have tattoos. There are quite a few vaginas in there, so if you're frightened away by that sort of thing, you should avoid this book!

Something Different for A Change....,
By A Customer
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
It's good to see a book with a new idea. Panties shows all different types of models in a very stripped down style. It shows models such as Aria Giovanni, & other familiar looking girls unlike they've ever been photographed. Panties shows their bodies and faces in the most vulnerable way, no make up and cotton panties. Warning!: This not your typical overglossed Playboy looking crap you can find in any boring porn mag. If you're looking for girls who cake their make up on and fill their breasts with silicone: DON'T BUY THIS BOOK! However, if you're looking for a book with sexy natural girls (some of which could be your next door neighbor). (...)

A delicious catalog of girls dressed only in their panties!,
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
Panties is the latest book from L.A. photographer Dave Naz and it will surely not disappoint his growing fan base. It's not what one would describe as a serious minded artistic study. Nothing is forced here and there is an absolute lack of pretension throughout. And that's just what makes this such a wonderful and dare I say, refreshing, photographic expose of the female nude. This graphical attitude is the perfect tone for such a project as shooting a wide variety of young ladies dressed only in their panties, and quite often, their panties are wrapped up in their hands lovingly showcasing their beautifully delicious genitalia. Each shot is well composed in classic Naz style and utilizes his blaring use of color photography all the way through. Over 140 images are featured.

Normal Panties on Normal Girls,
By Photopro "Mike" (purcellville, va United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
I sat and thought for a while about how I felt about this book. It is different, I should say that first. The more I looked at the book the more I liked it. The reviews dont lie at all. These are not expensive model panties, but the panties that almost all girls/woman where everyday. No thongs or G-strings, just normal panties. The models are not special at all. Not all of the models are beautiful models that you would see in magazines, but the woman you pass on the street everyday. The range of models is large. From large to small, and almost none have makeup. I suppose that this book is a made a bit for everyone. Its not [explicit], yet not boring. Although, many of the pictures are of just girls standing there for the camera, posing, like a portrait. There are many vaginas in the book. Shaved, unshaved, close, and far. If you are looking for a book with panties as the main focal point, you will most likely not like this book. Half of the panties in the book are on the floor or around the models knees and ankles. The photography is so so. I kind of wish the lighting of the photos as a little more erotic, but instead it is very well lighted, as you would see in a regular photoshoot for a magazine. If you are looking for a book of normal girls lounging in their homes, doing homework, on the computer, watching movies, reading, you will not find it here. All and all I think that this book is a large achievment. We get a view of everyday woman in their panties, not the girls or panties you will see in the Victorias Secret catalog. I find this a great edition to any photography lovers collection or a great editon to any coffee table.

Very Different from the Norm!,
By chosenblackwood (Blackwood, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
I found the book to be very interesting. The models are definitely girl next door types. The models posed in a varity of positions and situations. Some of the girls had their panties on while most of the models had their panties pulled down at their feet. The panties worn are everyday panties worn by average girls. These panties are not the panties found in Playboy. For the most part the girls in this book are above average in looks and body type. The one aspect of this book that turned me off a little bit was the amount of tattoos the girls had. I think it was a little excessive but all in all I would reccommend this book.

Appealing: Ordinary Women in Ordinary Undies,
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
Overall, I liked this book. Probably because I'm weary of seeing overglamourized women, with artificially enhanced bustlines and a pound of exquisitely applied makeup, portrayed to men (and sometimes to women as a role model) as the stereotype of a woman they should admire. I love women, and I love their smarts and their beauty, but when they are "fake" and made up as bimbos, I lose interest.
What is nice about this book is that the models are girl-next-door types, the women who live in your neighborhood and those you work with, or those you see at the grocery store. No fake boobs (that I noticed), and minimal or no makeup. Just attractive women clad only in their panties. And the panties, like the models, are ordinary, yet appealing, even kind of sexy in their plainness. No fancy lingerie here. The panties are not the focus in this book, but rather the common element used to tie this book together. The real focus is on the women. Panty fetishists will be disappointed in this book. What didn't I like about this book? The photography is flat, or neutral, probably by design. I would prefer to have the photographer use the light more creatively to emphasize his subjects. The backgrounds, all in a house or apartment, are likewise plain, almost stark, again, probably by design. I would have used some items of furniture so the girls would have something to "work" with. A couple of the women look almost uncomfortable lying on a bare, hard floor. I think the photographer went a bit overboard in keeping his photographs plain and uncluttered. Last, I would have liked to have seen more of the ladies smiling. Those who are look great! But those who aren't look cool and detached, and some just look bored. Once again, I suspect this was the photograher's intent. If you look at his photo in the back of the book you will see that he, too, has a neutral stare. Nonetheless, more smiles, big ones or coy ones, would have made this volume more interesting to me. My personal tastes range from the natural nudes, most photographed outdoors, featured in Eolake Stobblehouse's book, "Natural Beauties" to the photos of the 1950s ultimate pinup girl, Bettie Page. This book is somewhere between in this range. It is not a "must have" book, but not one to be passed over, either.

Oh that..famous scene "Sixteen Candles" where all the geeks are paying to see Molly Ringwald's panties in the boys room......Yes we all love panties, and girls in them.Dave Naz does an amazing job of capturing young beautiful & REAL women in their panties! There is no other book like it! I am glad someone finally got the idea that women don't wear make up all the time and don't bounce around the house in Victoria's Secret lingerie.Come on that's not real.I am glad someone finally gets the picture! This book is not GLOSS,it's real!I look forward to Dave Naz's next projects...At least he is keepin' it real.Buy this book!

All Dressed Up With Nowhere To Go,
By
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
Pictorial books like PANTIES by David Naz defy description since they often do not fit into a clearly defined niche. What Naz seems to have done is to present a series of fairly ordinary looking women, some of whom are wearing panties and some not, who look distinctly unmodel like. PANTIES is not meant to be prurient. Almost certainly it is meant as a minor celebration of Your Typical Woman. The models seem unhappy with their poses, a not unsurprising trait since they are not professional models. Naz has made little effort to capture a sense of the uniqueness that each women must have. Instead he presents a melange of photos some of which feature the same woman that do little more than show a woman who has matters on her mind that are not connected to exhibitionism or even a healthy desire to reveal a bit of their minds. What Naz has succeeded in was to capture a sense of the ennui that women probably feel when they know that men are gawking at them. I know that I felt that same sense of weariness even before I glanced past the first few pages.

Not what I expected,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
If you like professional lighting, covergirl beauty, interesting backgrounds, and modern photography techniques, then this book is NOT for you. If you mostly enjoy the Playboy style of glamour photography - then don't bother with this book. It really is just a collection of very plain-jane looking women without makeup and shot in perfectly boring domestic locations. The cover is probably the best shot of the book. The photographer even managed to take a few gorgeous women (Aria G., Jana, and a few others) and create the most boring, unflattering shots I've seen of these beauties. I gave it a rating of 3 for those that like boring, plain, flat lit photography. Sorry Dave!

Pretty Girls in Panties, Plain and Simple,
By
This review is from: Panties (Hardcover)
Dave Naz's Panties showcases women and panties. Plain and simple, yet oh so gorgeous. Without adornment, he presents women who really do look like the girl next door (not the overly glammed up one, but your literal neighbor) in the almost-nude, clad in simple, even silly cotton panties (Hello Kitty, Krispy Kreme), many looking like they just got out of bed. These fresh-faced babes, some known models and some random girls, stare back at his camera with innocence, defiance, and flirtation. My favorite shots are the teasing ones, where a girl's just about to take off her panties, revealing a glimpse of her ass, but not the whole thing. These models wear their panties like other women wear designer couture, owning every inch of the skimpy cotton as they give us glimpses of pubic hair, or pull the crotch of the panties tight against them. The simplicity of the shots and settings leaves room to admire these women's bodies in all their varied, fleshy forms. Panties + pretty girls = a winning combination, and Naz captures it masterfully.
