The "go to" book for quick & simple yet fancy meals,
By Luv 2 Cook (Cincinnati Ohio USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pantry Raid: Extraordinary Meals from Everyday Ingredients! (Paperback)
I bought an autographed book from Dana on a whim while on vacation in Stratford Ont. four years ago. I can honestly say I use this cookbook more than any I have. The recipes are sexy, original and not hard to fix. I keep her "must haves" in my pantry all the time and can always whip up a gourmet meal in a moment's notice. If you are pressed for time but don't want take-out, this is the cookbook for you!

Upscale pantry cooking,
This review is from: Pantry Raid: Extraordinary Meals from Everyday Ingredients! (Paperback)
Upscale pantry cooking is an apt description for this cookbook that features meals using pantry ingredients. While I've not fixed all the recipes in this cookbook, it is well loved for two particular recipes: Any Day Chocolate Pudding and Caramel-Topped Chocolate Pudding cake. Tonight I fixed the chocolate pudding using the Saco Unsweetened Cocoa found at Amazon. I was in chocolate heaven as the pudding was a delicious, dark, smooth chocolate dessert.
I highly recommend this cookbook as it has served me faithfully through the years. |
