5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent publication, March 31, 2002

As a former member of a Panzergrenadier division I found this booklet highly informative and well illustrated. It provides factual information and refreshed some of my memories after nearly six decades. What is also of interest is that the U.S. armed forces have now adopted, with minimal modification, the essence of the Wehrmacht helmets. The reasons are obvious, because they protected not only the head but also the top of the neck.
The booklet can be recommended to anyone interested in WW II.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful, Informative, March 30, 2010

This review is from: Panzergrenadiers in Action - Weapons Number Five (Paperback)
Another winner in the "In Action" Series - it's tough to tackle all of the different uniforms worn by Panzergrenadiers (armored infantry). Six years of war, different terrain, weather all had impacts on what the troops wore when. Volumes have been dedicated to the subject. This 48 page book literally gives a snapshot of uniforms, weapons, and the armored vehicles they rode into combat. There are two pages of color drawings to show camouflage patterns. It's a glimpse, but very representative of the odds and ends soldiers wear & the equipment used.

As an added bonus - medals worn, web gear, armored car types, fantastic photos of soldiers at war. An excellent book for modelers and those who want to see more detail of German uniforms without paying a fortune on a specialized book. I've enjoyed it very much and read it several times. It's not worth the current $38.66 asking price for a new book, but a copy for $10.00 or so makes an excellent addition to your library.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHOTO OVERVIEW, July 3, 2001
This review is from: Panzergrenadiers in Action - Weapons Number Five (Paperback)
This small document gives a brief, yet complete description on the Panzergrenadiers. The photo's are all real. And are very intersting. The book even goes over the change in uniforms and equipment through the years. I was able to read this from cover to cover in a matter of an hour. Great fun. This is book 5 in a series of books from squadron. I want them all!!!!!
