Essential Reference,
By Russ Emerson (Apex, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Panzerkampfwagen: German Combat Tanks, 1933-45 (Bellona publications) (Paperback)
This book remains, after 30 years, the ultimate reference to German tank development before and during the Second World War.The book includes all the well-known tanks, but in much greater detail as to the evolution of the designs as the course of the war progressed. Rounding out the book is inclusion of illustrations (photos where available, line drawings where not) and descriptions of many lesser-known tank designs. The book focuses only on tanks and their variants (bridge-layers, ammo carriers, etc) not on the tank destroyer or assault gun derivatives of the different tanks. Highly recommended... if you can find it. |
