Similar in content to the other volumes in Ryton's series on WWII German Vehicles, Panzerspahwagen is very much up to Uwe Feist's usual high standard.

The price is appropriate to the book's quality, but the "landscape" layout makes it a little difficult on the bookshelf.

At 150 pages it seems just a little light to me, but that's because I really like this book, and simply wish there was even more!

A good reference for historians, military vehicle enthusiasts, as well as for use in scale modeling.

An excelent book like all of this series that show with fine details all the armored scout cars used by the german army and SS in WWII, an excelent source.

I seriously debated getting this book. Did I really need a book just about WW2 German scout cars? Well, I am very glad I did break down and buy it. The quality of the pages, photos, line drawings are first rate.

The detail is amazing. Most of the book are B&W photos with captions of every single aspect of these armored cars. You see the engine, chasis, weapons used, WW2 photos of the vehicles in action on every front in all kinds of weather. What is best of all are the color photos showing a perfectly restored SdKfz 222 from the private collection of Jacques Littlefield.

This is the second book I have purchased from Ryton Publications (the other I also highly recommend Schutzenpanzer) and I will look for more. Pricey, perhaps, but definately a must have for all armor fans, modelers, anyone who wants to get a real nuts and bolts glimpse of WW2 Armored warfare.
