A flawed, but fun, little book.,

I have a lot of Kaiyodo's 1/144 scale armor models and so own many of Yoh Morinaga's prints, but in Japanese. I was overjoyed to see this book collecting those prints and translated into English. It is well-made, on good paper with sharp color reproduction. The facts are handled in bite-sized portions that are fun to read, all while accompanied by Morinaga's almost Miyazaki-like art.But there are a couple of problems. First, the book is not complete. One of the World Tank Museum series focused on modern Japanese tanks, and as information on these vehicles is scarce in English, I was looking forward to reading the translations. However, the publisher opted to leave this portion out of the book in order to make the book only cover World War 2. Unfortunate, since information on WW2 tanks *is* readily available in English, but modern Japanese tank info isn't. Second, either because of bad translation or artist ignorance, there are many little incorrect factoids sprinkled throughout the book- some even counteracting themselves in later entries. Going back and listing everything would be exhausting- just keep in mind that the book should not be viewed as a be-all, end-all resource, but rather a fun little "primer" for the uninitiated or a fun casual read for the die hard tank fan.
