This book embraces the caring and lasting bond between father and child (just as Marzollo's "Mama Mama" does for mother and child.) I would definatley recommend this book and highly recommend getting it's companion, "Mama Mama." They are an amazing duo that will instill in your child the cherished relationship between parents and children.

My daughter is now 14 months old and has loved MaMa MaMa and PaPa PaPa since she was 6 months old. She will discard other books and not pay attention, but she will sit and listen while I read these 2 books over and over again. The illustrations are wonderful, too.

I'm delighted to have found the "guys" version of "Mama, Mama" - we have a one year old and she LOVES the pictures and rythms of "Mama" and so when I saw this I jsut had to have it!! Now Dad, too has a special book to read that demonstates the special bond of fathers, illustrated wonderfully with a variety of wildlife animals. Your child will love this!

This book delights my 1 year old son. You can read this book in about 3 minutes. We just keep reading it over and over again-he loves the repitition. Each time we read it, I add something to it--like counting how many animals are on the page, or making that animal's sounds, etc. There is one page that has a Papa monkey and the baby, and for some reason every time we get to it, the picture makes my son laugh. I know the words by heart now, and if at any point I just say, "Papa Papa", he will stop whatever he is doing and look at me. It makes him happy, and that makes me happy. So I recommend this book. I just ordered "Mama Mama" hoping it will be as good as this one.

This book is just so cute. It's an affirmation that a child and his or her papa can make over and over again attesting to the warmth, love and protection that only a father can give to his child. Goes very well with it's partner book, Mama, Mama. The refs to Attachment Parenting are obvious and I highly recommend this book to anyone who parents by instinct.

But a great addition to it, nonetheless. The pictures were awesome, but the rhymes were pretty forced. My kids always pick the pair (Mama, Mama and Papa, Papa)together!

My son absolutely loves Mama Mama - we read it every day. After several months, I was thrilled to discover Papa Papa. Dad is important to baby as well, and his role is very nurturing. My son loves the poem and pictures in this book just as much as Mama Mama. He hands me both books at the same time (not bad for 16 months). Of course, we are going to show our son that gender roles are quite so neatly divided. :-)

I bought this book for my daughter to give to my father so they could read it together. It is one of her favorites to pull out for him to read. It has wonderful pictures and covers a variety of animals.

Several different animal fathers are shown caring for their offspring in this board book for very young children. What's impressive is that all of the animals depicted (beavers, seahorses, etc.) are in fact exemplary animal fathers. This type of zoological accuracy is rare for a children's book, and provides the opportunity for discussions with older children about the many examples of exceptional fathers in the animal kingdom.

This is a super sweet book...my son loves it! It's fun to get "Mama Mama" too!
