Book Description

January 9, 2011

For the first time, Ted McCagg's cartoons are collected where they have always longed to live: the printed page. His work, which has won him a legion of fans throughout cyberspace, is a regular feature on The Nervous Breakdown, and has appeared elsewhere on the web at The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and Laughing Squid.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Ted McCagg is a truly original thinker who really makes me laugh. And for that, I hate him." -Conan O'Brien

About the Author

Ted McCagg is not an artist by trade. In fact he has spent the last 15 years in the world of advertising as a writer. He did take a drawing class in college, but only because it was considered an easy A. What's not to love? The artwork is perfectly simple, the humor is hilariously twisted and the quality of the book is great. Plus you have the pleasure of telling people that you are currently reading a book called Paper Doll Orgy.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOLs that will make you pee your pants...literally. January 11, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Ted McCagg might have been shunned by the New Yorker for his "questionable drawing skills," but his ability to create page after page of hilarious, irreverent, insightful and wickedly funny drawings make me want to tell the haters to suck it.

Get this book for yourself and buy it for twenty of your friends, they'll thank you for turning them onto the up and coming talent genius that is Ted McCagg.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously, enviably, twistedly, brilliantly funny January 10, 2011
Format:Paperback
Ted McCagg has one of the more brilliantly twisted minds going. If you don't laugh many, many times while reading this book (of cartoons), you need to have your "sense of humor" chip replaced. (Oh, and: Conan O'Brien agrees with me). Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant January 27, 2013

In certain quiet moments of my day, one of Ted McCagg's drawings will pop into my head and make me laugh. Currently, I'm getting alot of mileage out of "notes of regret." There... just grinned again. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars A little risky July 21, 2011

I used to work with Ted so I thought: maybe I like this book because I used to work with Ted and know how smart and funny he is. But these other reviews tell me Ted is really just funny. I've even given this book to people I don't know so well because it's such a sharp conversation piece. That's the risky part.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I had made Paper Doll Orgy. June 5, 2011
Format:Paperback
Ted McCagg has archived clever, hilarious insights and shrunk-wrapped them into evil little drawings with captions. I just love it. For those of you who want a peek, check out his comics website at [...].

5.0 out of 5 stars Cost per laugh = good ROI January 28, 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Someone recommended this book to me the other day. It was pretty cheap on Amazon so I picked it up and was pleasantly surprised. It's tough to pick a favorite but I love the haiku series. I had it out the other night when some friends were over for dinner and everyone found something that made them laugh out loud. Big return for ten bucks on Amazon.
