This is not a cookbook. Yes, it has a couple of templates in the back, but it's designed for creative pros, not crafters. It examines how some of the smartest firms in the business break the ho-hum barrier for client pieces by merging print and clever folds. When buying on line it's a guess at what you are buying. This is a good book but not what I was looking for and now I can not return it for a full refund.

This review is from: Paper Engineering: 3D Techniques for a 2D Material (Paperback)
This is not a cookbook. Yes, it has a couple of templates in the back, but it's designed for creative pros, not crafters. It examines how some of the smartest firms in the business break the ho-hum barrier for client pieces by merging print and clever folds. It shows deft creases that allow brochures to unfurl with added meaning, it presents illustrations of origami wielded for striking effect, and displays (sorry, photos only) playful pop-up confections that add 3D punch to books and other gotta-have products. `

Each sizzling example is accompanied by the firm, the client, and the application. If this book doesn't inspire you to grab your scissors and a handful of paper, you may not be having enough fun.
