This is an excellent book that my 12 year old daughter, and ALL her friends have truly enjoyed. The book comes with stencils for outfits. It also comes with patterned paper to use for the outfits. It has a great selection of paper. The paper is similar to scrapbook paper but seems specially designed for the small outfits as the patterns on the paper go well with small outfits. Finally, it has some wire hangers - sized to fit the outfits. The girls have had hours of fun with this book. My daughter glues all the outfits into a notebook, and the friend who designed it "signs" the page. My only wish is that there was an address or phone number where you could order additional paper packs. While Klutz is generous when they give you the paper, my kids are using it a LOT! Her 8 year old sister enjoys it too. It is suitable for any age that is very good with scissors. The outfits are quite small. I plan to purchase some of these to use as birthday gifts to have on hand. This is one of the best activity books we've purchased.

I bought this book as a activity to share with my neice who is 8. We both loved it. The book is full of inspiration and helpful tips like how to use your finished creations and also how to use scissors more accurately and how to glue without making a mess. The papers and accents they supply are really nice and the fashion stencils are perfectly engineered. It comes with everything you need except the scissors. I enjoyed it so much that I bought another copy for myself and for some of my crafty friends who love fashion. I really think this is a great craft book and I've recommended it to many friends. The Klutz products are always clever but this one is really special.

My 11 year old daughter received this as a birthday gift in August and hasn't stopped playing with it. She loves combining different prints and styles and creating the latest fashions. She has strung a "clothesline" along the top of her bulletin board and hangs her creations on the miniature hangers which come with this set. Her 13 year old sister also enjoys this item (although she doesn't like to admit it!)

My sister gave this book to my girls, ages 6 and 8. For over three hours, those two little girls were so involved with creating their very own fashion designs - all without their mother's help! I think it is one of the best Klutz books I have seen and definitely recommend it for pre-teen girls as well.

As all of the Klutz books, this book is also exceptional. I am an adult who purchased this for myself. I am very creative and love to decorate practically anything as well as create cards. I am a student and in my free time between classes, I design. Ah, to still be a kid at heart. Klutz's primary market is kids, but its amazing the number of adults that purchase their materials. The simplicity of learning how to do something new, or be creative is awesome.

I bought this for my 15yo future fashion designer. She has made several wardrobes with it. My 11yo sneaks it away to make things in the middle of the night. I need to buy another.
The book contains wonderful templates for designing clothes, but the best part are the pages that tell how to modify the templates to design anything your heart desires.
The paper and trims are wonderful, but my girls have discovered that scrapbook paper, and our many crafty odds and ends also make great clothes. Klutz also sells a refill pack with more paper and hangars.

I bought this book for my 14 year old for Christmas. She is a budding "fashion designer" and has really enjoyed it. It's tough to find gifts for young teens that don't involve electronics, but still hold their attention. This book fits that bill.

It is a mature enough gift for a 14 year old, but my 6 and 9 year old girls have also used it along with their big sister and have enjoyed it just as much.

We have many Klutz books and have enjoyed them all, but this one sits near the top of the list of favorites in our house.

For those debating whether or not this is suitable for younger children, my 5 year old daughter received this for Christmas and loves making her own styles. She needs help cutting some shapes, but can do most of it herself. Once she gets started, she works on Paper Fashions for more than an hour at a time.

One note with regards to paper. I have added on by buying loose sheets of scrapbook paper on sale at Michael's. There is such a wide variety of textures and designs available that I don't think I'll ever end up forking out big bucks on the extra paper kit Klutz makes.

My daughters, who are 8 & 10 both love this book. They have made several outfits and had a great time doing it. I even made a couple of outfits. it is very fun. It does take a certain amount of dexterity, and I would not recommend it for anyone under 8 years of age.

My 7 year old got this last Christmas and has played with it consistently over the year. She has made probably 75 different outfits. The papers with the patterns are cool and the fact that it has stencils of different styles of skirts/shirts/etc has made it easy for her to use. She loves this item. I bought several more for her to give as gifts.
