In her sophmore album, Ms. Studt has made great strides in lyrical content and found a more progressive, piano driven sound somewhat reminiscent of Tori Amos in her early days.

I especially like the tracks "She Ran", "Chasing The Light" and "Furniture". Check them out on YouTube. Well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars An All New Amy Studt, April 26, 2009

This a vastly underrated gem of a record. Whatever you do, don't base your expectations of this record on her first poppy album False Smiles, other than the track "Nice Boys" this is a completely different gene of music. Its dark, its personal, its "proper" music. While the tracks are mostly slower paced they're certainly not the syrupy lovey-dovey ballads of a lot of other solo female vocalists, its about Amy's past hurts and future hopes.
A clear and beautiful voice, songs that actually mean something, raw emotion. Totally recommended.

Rich in detail and satisfyingly accurate! Amy Studt has clearly defined life as a twentysomething. For the most part this album is intense as singer/songwriter gets, honest as a coffee house act and deep with emotion. Nice Boys is a pop anthem of biblical proportions but the rest of the album varies from Alanis-tones to Enya.
