Great costume and an awesome deal!

The puff of feathers on the top was a little heavy and kept falling backward, but I put a hat on underneath and it propped up fine.

First, this costume is extremely durable, heavy material, not cheaply made at all, and really cute. My son got a ton of compliments. However, there are some drawbacks to keep in mind when deciding on ordering this costume.

    1) The age and height/weight of your child.

I have a 4 year old son and he weighs about 40#'s. He is pretty normal height and weight wise for a 4 year old (pre-k in school). This costume was too heavy and bulky on him. It was big on him. Not terribly oversized, but it was a little difficult for him to keep his arms through the arm holes and it affected his balance/mobility on the length and width. The "under stuffing" is terrible, and I'll cover that next.

    2) How long will your child be wearing this costume?

There are 2 parts to this costume. The outside part you see, and an inner part to stuff so that the costume takes on the round angry bird shape. This part of the costume was terrible. There are 2 pouches that you must fashion into a slip on "under shirt." There is no way a full size pillow will fit into the device like they instruct you to do. No way. Even if it did, my son could not have carried around that weight. I used miniature pillows (approximately 6x10) in each pouch. The pouch has 4 spandex type straps. You tie the top 2 of one to the top 2 of the other so that they form a "stuffing tank top" to slip over your head. Then, you tie the sides together to fasten it around the waist. You then put the outer costume over this. My son could not keep the "stuffing under shirt" from slipping off his shoulders, so I had to keep reaching under his costume to pull it back up. Plus, it was heavy and didn't make much of a difference in the appearance of the costume because it was so big on him anyway.

I bought this for my granddaughter to wear on Halloween. She is 'special needs' and gets picked on at school. The day she wore this for the school costume parade, she was a STAR! She was the only one in school with the costume (probably because the price was OUTRAGEOUS) and even the older kids were high-fiving her! It made the day for her. The smile on her face and the reaction of the kids was worth every penny to me. The costume itself was VERY well made and looked great. The inner pillow holder was an easy way to make the costume have volume. I can't recommend this product because of the price. Talk about price gouging! The costume itself I would highly recommend: at its retail price it is definitely worth it. My daughter plans on using it for wall art in her daughter's room (arcade theme!) It represents a truly happy memory for her now.

I bought this for my 8-year old son to wear for Halloween this year. He loved being an Angry bird. The costume fit well enough for an average 8-year old. I used travel sized pillows to fit the inserts that came with the costume. I gave it four stars because every time my son would turn his head the top of the costume would slump over and we would have to adjust it. I found it cheaper on Amazon than at Wal-Mart!

I researched this and found this to be the best price for this popular costume. It was just what my grandson wanted. There was a question about what to do to line the inside with to make it fuller. large pillows seemed to be a bit heavy but crumpled plastic bags put in pillow cases along with small pillows seem to works better.

This costume fit my 6 year old son perfectly! Just the right size, pretty flexible and comfortable even though he often doesn't like things on his head he was so happy and excited he didn't mind wearing it all day!

I saw people complain about the pillow holders and pillows. I got this costume for my 9yr old daughter for halloween. It would easily have still fit her 12 and 13yr old brothers.. and my 13yr old is 5'10"...

the pillow cases CAN be hard to fit a pillow into, but this is what I did

    1. Don't use a regular pillow - a pillow pet is much easier to squish in there because they are softer and squishier... the head also is great for helping you start getting your pillow back out.

    2. if you find a pillow/pillow pet stuffs it fuller than you'd like, take a light throw or a towel or two and fold them to just under the size of the holder... use them for stuffing.

    3. finally, if nothing else, buy some polyester fiber fill at any craft shop (batting also works as it comes in sheets and can be folded) and stuff that in there.. then simply take a needle and thread and stitch it closed... you can cut open the stiches and remove them and pull out the stuffing to put in a big ziplock or back in it's bag and tape closed for future use.

The only issue my child had with the costume was that it does make you lose peripheral vision... but she was more than willing to have to hold my hand so she could be this character and everyone LOVED how she looked int he costume.

Finally, if you have long hair (my daughter has waist length hair) I really recommend putting your hair up in a bun... it will make it easier to tuck the cloth around and behind the hair and reduce frizz and hair popping out the front.

For the price (less than 20 dollars including shipping) we were THRILLEd and it looked brand new even after a long night of trick or treating. We will either use the costume next year or list it on craigslist.
