I'm not sure what the other reviewer did to their pen but I've used both the black design as well as the pink and used the pink so much that I was searching around here looking for a refill! It's well constructed, writes without messy gobs of ink and is comfortable to write with. One of the better pens I've used and I like it better than the PhD. Buy with confidence. I can only imagine the other reviewer suffered from user error rather than a true defect in the product itself.

I love this pen! What initially attracted me to it was the metal barrel and the neat feminine design. Once I tried it, I was hooked! It writes more smoothly than any pen I have ever tried and doesn't leave ink blotches or smears like the Ink Joy pens. The pen has a good weight to it making it feel like a good quality pen. My only problem with this pen is that the refills are hard to find and if you do find them (Paper Mate Universal Refill), the refills cost as much as a new 2-pack of pens! I don't know why Paper Mate won't encourage the use of refills more since throwing the nice metal pens away is such an environmental mess. I guess I will be resigned to just buying more of the whole pens. They do offer Terracycling through their website where you can send the pen barrels back to them and they will recycle them but not sure how many people will do that. Anyway, great pen overall!!!

I love this pen. I keep extra on hand so when co-workers borrow and love it they can keep it. This price is too high though. I get a 2 pack at Walmart for less that this.

These are by far my favorite pen. It's so hard to find a decent fine point pen. If I could buy a gross at a time I probably would!

pen lasted 2 days. The plastic cap at the top that holds the clicker and pocket clip cracked slightly. everytime you put any pressure on it the pen would fall apart.
