4.0 out of 5 stars Good starter book
This is a great book for folks just beginning to create punch art. HOWEVER, be warned that the resulting punches are very tiny - the artwork in the book is enlarged to show detail. If you are trying to create archival punch art, you will need to get a glue pen or the adhesive and punches will get very unwieldy very fast. Also, the quality of the punches that came with my...

1.0 out of 5 stars Save Your Money
This book may have one or two cute ideas, but it's mainly geared towards kids' crafts and the ideas are very simple. Anyone could come up with most of these just by playing with their punches for an afternoon. The punches themselves were so cheaply made that they fell apart before I could even use them. It's a much better idea to buy a few good quality punches with the...

It's a much better idea to buy a few good quality punches with the money you'd spend on this book and see what you can come up with on your own.

Also, the quality of the punches that came with my book was not great - I have to punch down superhard to get the punches to cut completely, and the heart punch fell apart in the hands of my 5-year-old. Overall, the ideas are wonderful and helpful, but the execution is not as easy as it looks! Buy this book, but be warned that you might have to invest more money in better-quality punches.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent aid in embellishing scrap pages or anything else!, January 28, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Paper Punch Art (Hardcover)
I bought the last copy of this from my local [store]! It was a gift for my daughter, and we have both enjoyed it. I searched high and low to find additional copies to give as gifts to my daughter's friends and cousins --- that's how good this is.

Another reviewer mentioned the small size of the products -- yes, when you're using the punches provided (but they are still very usable). The ideas are easily transferable, however, to uses with larger punches or even die cuts! My daughter has created some awesome embellisments for her scrapbook pages using the ideas in this book. Purchase and enjoy!

I was excited to get this books since I am an art teacher and know my kids would love it! Unfortunately, the punchers hardly went through a piece of notebook paper, much less anything thicker. One of the puncheers actually got stuck and it took quite a bit of work to get it open again! The book was really cute, but I was so disappointed with the punchers that I had to send it back.

5.0 out of 5 stars the funniest craft book, January 15, 2002

I bought this book because of the punches (in my country the punches are really expensive) but when I opened it I found a lot of funny and good examples to make a lot of creations. You only need the punches (including in the book), paper (papers including in the book are not enough), scissors, glue and a simple hole puncher (to make the smallest circle punches). The examples are very clear and easy. The best part? the book is not only for children. I enjoyed it a lot!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent except for the quality of the punchers, February 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Paper Punch Art (Hardcover)
This book provides great ideas for young-at-heart adults who like to create their own greeting cards and gift tags among other paper media. I highly recommend this book, but advise that the reader purchases his or her own paper punchers separate from the ones provided with the book. The quality of the paper punchers are very poor, but seem in accord with the price of the book. If you are looking for inspiration and creative takes on simple punched shapes, this may be the book for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy This Book!, November 23, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Paper Punch Art (Hardcover)
I wanted this book for almost a year before I got it. After I did, I knew that I made a good decision. This book would be better if the paper they supplied wasn't on two sides of one paper and if they had more of sheets of sample paper. All of the designs are excellent though, and they are really easy to do!

5.0 out of 5 stars Paper Punch Art: Create over 200 Easy Designs with the Punch, December 31, 2001
By
This review is from: Paper Punch Art (Hardcover)
I was very excited to get this book. I was hoping for some cute ideas to work on my scrapbook and art and craft ideas. They included the punches which helps to make the different designs they show in the book. It is very easy and there are alot fun ideas. I'm going to use some of the ideas when I volunteer in my son 1st grade class.

The ideas in the book are cute, but the materials leave A LOT to be desired. One of the punches in our set did not work and another broke quickly. My daughter received this as a gift, and the giver wasted her money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative Fun!!, December 2, 2001
This review is from: Paper Punch Art (Hardcover)
I bought this not even knowing what it was - I just thought it was a good price on 4 punches (I'd been meaning to get some for my girls.) I gave it to them after school one day and they spent 2 -3 hours and most of Saturday creating the most fun pictures! The book gives ideas and they elaborated on them as well. But it was truly delightful to watch the fun they had and what they came up with from only 4 punches, some construction paper and glue sticks! I highly recommend it.
