    Product Description

Crime has never been more disorganized than in this outrageous comedy featuring Stacey Dash (Clueless) and hip-hop superstars Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek and Capone-N-Noreaga. When a rookie crook (Kevin Hart) teams up with some bungling burglars to prove some guys have so much fun… it's criminal!

    Amazon.com

The excellent Paper Soldiers shifts fluidly from comedy to serious drama as it follows an overeager burglar named Shawn (Kevin Hart) through the ups and downs of his short, stressful career. Already on parole but faced with the power being turned off and his child forced to eat nothing but cereal, Shawn convinces an older thief (Derrick "Capone" Lee) to train him. He soon finds himself caught between his angry girlfriend (Tiffany Withers), his incompetent would-be-criminal friends, and a neighborhood sociopath with a hair-trigger temper (Beanie Sigel). Paper Soldiers always feels real, which makes the humor genuine and lets the movie shift gears into high tension. The performances are compelling throughout--Hart makes you care about Shawn without ever letting him off the hook for his foolish decisions. Smartly written and skillfully directed, Paper Soldiers deserves to be seen. Featuring cameos by Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, and others. --Bret Fetzer

It saddens me so much that people can relate positively to a story filled with nothing but numbskull idiots bent on making one foolish decision after the other.

The whole cast is great from beginning to end.

I had no interest in seeing this movie, but you know what? It was a cool little flick. The performers (rappers mostly, I think) were mostly very funny. This is not a typical comedy, but the laughs are pretty constant throughout. Check it out. You might like it.

This movie Roc-a-fella films production different their other recent movies because this one was funny as hell! Roc-a-fella recording artists such as Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Noreaga, Jay-Z, Damon Dash & more were great to see acting but, Kevin Hart was the man in this funny comedy!

I have to admit that I also LMAO!

Hubby came home telling me that he had a movie with members from the ROC and I was very skeptical especially after viewing State Property (((YUCK)))

Kevin Hart has an annoying voice, but he is semi funny as he pokes fun at himself!

Vicariously seen through the eyes of Shawn a parolee who is desperate to just try keep the electric and gas running and his son off the bowls of cereal at night. As his options are none he decides to go into B&E with his eccentric crew!

I'm telling you Capone, Beanie, Damon Dash and Memphis Bleek had me crying! I didn't see the point of Stacy Dash, but I loved Tiffany and Angie in here.

    Funny movie...

A lot of fun to watch. Characters were realistic and always on the move. Kevin Hart and Beanie gave dynamic performances! Would love to see more of Paul Sado who played Johnny. His performance was fantastic, lots of humor. He has a very charismatic personality.

I just happened to pick up "Paper Soldiers" one day while at the video store, not knowing exactly what to think of it. When I took it home and watched it, I was pleasantly surprised. This film is seriously funny!
The film centers around Shawn, who is on parole and trying to get the almighty dollar fast. The film follows him through his adventures with breaking and entering, yet trying to keep his life on track. It'll have you rolling!
Since the film was directed by Damon Dash, CEO of Roc-A-Fella records, the film is filled with cameos by Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, and Dash himself. Beanie Siegel also gives a convincing performance as a crazy and extremely violent acquaintance of Shawn's. Angie Martinez, Tiffany Withers (from BET's bet.com), and Stacy Dash also have roles in the film
Don't let the fact that this is a straight-to-video film. It is very funny and I know you'll enjoy it!!!!

This one snuck up on me. I seen Kevin Hart in that vulgar peice of carp about the airline yuck. This movie was awesome tho'. Heavy stuff, and brutally real and super wacky funny too. Way under the radar, and that's too bad. Nice cameo by Nore with one solution to every problem (gun). Beanie is nice in it too, reminded me of the bullies in my school days. Do not sleep on this, seems to me the negative critics maybe didnt watch this film at all. Guess they just reviewed the dvd cover.
