Hello,
This is Sam Kochel again and now I am reviewing a product that once demonstrated to my father and also my stepfather, the former ended up having me pick one up for him and the later bought a whole set of them for everyone in his law office. Myself, I have one at home and 1 in my classroom where I teach. Here's what I have to say about it: This is by far the best stapler you will ever use. It may not be heavy and feel good like a nice professional looking one, but it is very easy to operate and compress and will easily put a staple through 20 sheets of paper as it says, probably more...as I've tested it. You can open this stapler up and literally shoot staples 15 feet with this thing: that's the kind of power your going to generate, and all with a spring that is pre-cocked, so it requires very little effort. My dad got his because he is getting arthritis and has trouble more and more with his hands, so this is perfect for him. I got mine because of two reasons. 1) Sometimes I staple many many sheets together at a time for some school related thing, and 2) I like gadgets...I am not certain that is the correct order of importance, but regardless, this stapler is TOTALLY worth is and the best. I highly recommend it. Lastly, I hope this review was useful to you and that my efforts were not wasted, it was much harder to write this than it would have been to use this stapler. Regards, Sam Kochel

I've ordered dozens of these for the office with mixed results,

I'm an office manager for a large printing company. We use staplers here constantly and I used to order the PaperPro exclusively due to their ease of use. The first time you use this stapler you'll swear off conventional staplers...yeah, they are that good. I stopped ordering them, however, because the quality has been so inconsistent with these staplers. Personally I still have one and it's almost 2 years old and still works great. There are 3 or 4 others left in the building as well but the remainder of them are long gone. I stopped ordering them when they started breaking before they were even a month old. The final two I ordered lasted less than 3 days before they jammed. Unlike a conventional stapler, once they do jam there's no taking them apart to try and fix them, unless they fly apart on their own which a couple of them have done. When that happens there's no putting them back together...remember Humpty Dumpty? It's a shame, I love my stapler because like every other review here, I agree that it's incredibly easy to use. One reviewer said it best: these are disposable staplers and if you can live with that you'll love it. You may have to buy a few before you get one that will last more than a few weeks but once you do it will most likely last as long as mine has. It will be the best stapler you have ever owned...until it breaks which may be in a week or it may be in a couple years. As an office manager ordering supplies, I can't take that gamble. I now buy the Stanley Bostitch B3000. It stands upright or flat and is made of good old fashioned metal with rubber grips for comfort. It will staple through about 25 sheets of paper and is tough as nails. After trying about 5 different types of staplers we now have about 6 of the B3000s in the building and not once have any of them jammed or broken.

You're probably wondering why someone would review a stapler...but this stapler is just too amazing for words. It has an intricate spring system that makes it easily staple 20pgs+ without a problem.
I've had horrible experiences with other staplers, and feel I need to bring attention to this superior product.

Simply awesome!,
By MikeKDidIt "Have a great one!" (Logan, IA USA) - See all my reviews My hands hurt when I use a regular stapler; My hands never hurt when I use this stapler. I never seem to get a good staple on the first try with a regular stapler; I always get a good staple on the first try with this stapler. I seem to frequently try to staple too many pages for a regular stapler; I never have a problem stapling as many pages as will fit on a staple with this stapler. Bottom line: I would give this product 10 stars if that was an option. If you want a stapler that works every time, that requries minimal (truly one finger if you want) pressure to staple up to the maximum number of pages a staple can hold (approximately 25), this is the real deal. Need a gift for someone you really care about? Buy this. Know someone with arthritis that needs to staple? Perfect.

Best Stapler Ever,
This review is from: PaperPro Desktop Stapler, Black/Gray (1100) (Office Product)
My assistant bought one of these for me a couple of months ago, and I have been extremely impressed at the ease in which you are able to staple. Also, for the less mature among all of us, it can shoot staples up to about 20 feet.

I'm an admitted office supply nerd. I too read about this stapler in Business 2.0 and decided to buy one. It works great! At first you end up pressing harder than you need to but eventually get used to using very little force.
The only minor drawback is the ~20 page limitation, but then again, try stapling 20+ pages with a regular stapler. The cool part is the distinctive 'pop' sound when you staple. I understand there is a 3 hole punch to coming out too. I would buy this item again, in fact I bought one for my wife at home!

Perfectionists REJOICE!,

This really IS the best stapler ever! Don't you hate it when you go to staple an important document and the stupid thing jams, leaving you with a crushed half-staple? Then you have to pry the bad staple out, re-print the first page of the document so that it looks fresh, and try all over again. This NEVER happens with the PaperPro! It's perfect for us perfectionists who want a nice, clean staple every time.

Awesome "Staple Gun" Technology In Palm Of Your Hand,

This review is from: PaperPro Desktop Stapler, Black/Gray (1100) (Office Product)
I read about this stapler in either Fast Company or Business 2.0 and was intrigued by the inventor's story and about the "staple gun" technology ... Bought one for myself and I'm happy to report it's fantastic... cool looking, comfortable to hold, and, of course, staples very powerfully with minimal pressire/effort (no more banging the stapler to try and get those staples securely through your printouts). Even my wife loves it! Highly recommended.

I was impressed by this stapler when we initially had one. However, it broke down after a month. We thought that maybe we just bought a lemon. The second piece we bought also broke down after a month of regular use. And we just normally staple an average of 10 pages or below.

World's best? 6+ years, home & office!,

I was super curious about how a stapler redesign could achieve so much publicity when the first press releases for these hit the various news and tech websites back in '05 or '06. Soon after, I picked up a translucent green one for the home.
I was thoroughly impressed, after years of garbage value-priced staplers for the house, and even the iconic (and pricey) Swingline 747 staplers constantly jamming at work. The PaperPro is cheapish feeling -- light plastic construction and absolutely no heft that one would normally associate with "good" stapler. But with pretty regular use, it has never jammed, it drives staples consistently with a loud *thunk* and a minimal hand squeeze, and has just been a pleasure to have around. When I started a new job 4 years ago, a dysfunctional Swingline was there to greet me. I bought a new PaperPro (this, the Staples branded version -- but the same model) and "donated" it to the company. This stapler entered service into a 24/7 operations environment, where it gets used by more than a dozen of us constantly throughout the day (not continuous production line type usage, but frequent enough -- everyone's got papers to staple together a couple times per shift). So here we are 4 years later, and this very same "lightweight, cheapish" stapler is still sitting here at the desk. If it walks away, somebody goes searching for it -- I mean, seriously, somebody couldn't steal this stapler because nobody wants to use the old ones. The one at work has a peculiarity; when opened to tack staples to the cork board or wall, the spring loaded loader tray always pops open. It, unfortunately, has done this since day one, which is super convenient if we're trying to re-load it, but annoying if we just want to bang out some staples. This may be reflective of the QC problem another Amazon reviewer commented on who has purchased dozens for the office. But, despite this problem, it's never gotten any worse (could it?), and the stapler continues to function as it should in normal use. If you simply can't imagine that a stapler can be so different from all the others, stop into a Staples and check one out in person. I can't remember the circumstances, but my wife even thinks enough of this that she once gave one as a gift. Ha! I'd love to try PaperPro's heavier-duty version of this stapler, but I so rarely come up against something that this model can't handle, that I really have no need. Twenty sheets of paper, no problem! |
