The houses are more varied in design as well as the obstacles, and you have the option of being a paperboy OR papergirl (yeah!) The map also changes, in the first Paperboy you always threw the newspapers to the left, but in this game, you do about half on the left and half on the right, you will be working the left side of a street until you come to a crosswalk and then the angle will change so you are working the right of the next road. Overall a good sequel to the original.
