Fun and Variety,

I checked this book out of the library and liked it so much that I bought it (and this price is a bargain, folks). There is incredible variety here and lots of levels of difficulty. There are toys, jewelry, cards, boxes...you name it. She's great about giving you simple materials to works with. I made the paper quilled moon earrings and they came out very well. My only complaint is that the instructions are sometimes a bit sparse. If you are an experienced craftsperson, figuring out what to do isn't hard, but if you're a hardcore beginner, learning exactly what to do will involve some risk-taking.

I really recommend this one! It covers all kinds of crafty painting activities for adults and older kids by taking you step-by-step (with photos) through stenciling, decoupage, fabric painting, sponge painting, etching, gilding, and even simple wood projects. Read about mixing colors and how to apply easy and interesting finishes. Learn to paint on wood, paper, fabric, and glass. Decorate an umbrella or a coffee mug or linen placemats - make a mobile or magic wand or marbled bookmark - create coasters or Christmas tree decorations! And the best part is that you end up with something nice enough to use or display in your own home or give as a gift for an adult or child. Now buy this book, and go have some fun!
