Gr 4 Up--This title looks at the long history of papercrafting and a variety of creative uses for paper in cultures around the world. Activities include painting on cork, papermaking, papier-mache, marbling, paper flowers, a pinwheel, origami, and bookbinding. The required materials are listed in a small box at the top of each page. Most of the crafts require patience and an ability to read and follow directions. Although the steps are numbered, often more than one activity is included in each one. Children with some artistic ability will find challenging projects here.
