I cannot say enough good things about this book! I use it all the time. It actually sits on my desk, as opposed to on my bookshelf, because I find myself checking it out all the time for color, font, or layout inspiration. My only complaint is that there could be more examples, but that's just because the ones that are there are so nicely done. It's hard to find any design books on invitations, especially for ones that aren't hand-crafted (which I love to do as well), and I was worried this one would be a bit silly. But it's very contemporary, clean, and fresh - exactly what I was hoping for!
After seeing her website I thought this book was going to be much better. I love her ideas and the way she explains how to make you own stuff, but I wish it had more ideas about invitations. It was focus mainly on table settings and other helpful ideas for different types of events. But what I was looking for in this book was more wedding ideas ann specially for invitations. However, I still think her job is great and its a good book, just that if you are looking for a book with just wedding ideas probably is not the best to buy.
This books is great for people who enjoy adding elegance to even the smallest areas of life and provides many ideas for the paper enthusiast. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Pictures are helpful and even delight the eye. The book will be pulled down each time I need ideas for invitations, etc.
