3.0 out of 5 stars Signing On The Dotted Line, October 20, 2009
This review is from: Papers (MP3 Download)
When it has came down to Usher, the past couple of years have really been a bit mixed for him. While Here I Stand was a strong seller, the sadness though was the heartbreaking end of his short-lived marriage to Tameka Foster, and what has gone on with him being a father. That honestly was shown on his upcoming album Raymond VS. Raymond, and his first single from the album, Papers. The song isn't really a bad song, with the strong R&B rhythm, but I did think that the lyrics to the song could've been a bit better. It really is not a bad song for Usher, but could've brought in much more to match from his better R&B swooning songs from before like My Boo with Alicia Keys, back from the expanded version of Confessions. Hopefully, when his Raymond VS. Raymond record comes alive, he'll have plenty more papers to sign away, autographs of course.

Song: C 1/2+
