5.0 out of 5 stars Author's name incorrect
This is an excellent work by the Grande Dame of papillons in the United States. However, it should be noted that her name is "Catherine Gauss", not Christian.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don''t Bother
This book doesn't speak to the subject of the Papillon breed with any expertise. A cheap attempt to get your money. You can learn more through searching the internet. Find a copy of The Complete Papillon, a much more relevent book.

1.0 out of 5 stars The information was not specific to the Papillion breed., April 27, 1999

I was disappointed in this book. The very beginning of this book was about Papillions and their history, but as it progressed, the information was just about dogs in general. The information in the latter half of the book was no different than what I had found in all other dog/care dog/training books. I was hoping to find more specific info on the care and training of the Papillion breed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Contents, May 5, 2000
This review is from: Papillons (Kw-175) (Hardcover)
Good book for general information about dogs and for Papillon pictures, but is not really good if you are looking for information specific to the Papillon breed. The first half discusses the Papillon history, breed standard, & grooming. The rest of the book covers general information about buying a dog, finding a vet, training, dog laws & more.
