5.0 out of 5 stars nice bracelet...once
This bracelet is a great idea. 10ft of paracord could come in handy in a variety of situations. But here is my problem.... the bracelet is 3 beans (i bought 2) - with shipping it was a total of 16 dollars. spending this much made me apprehensive about ripping it up to use it - and that was the whole idea behind getting it! (of course in a real survival situation I would...

1.0 out of 5 stars Survival Bracelet
I got the bracelet today and opened the box to find out that the clasp on the bracelet was terrible and so weak that it fell apart when I tried to put the bracelet on. The bracelet then begun to come apart my suggestion is to find another company and buy one that is made at a higher quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice bracelet...once, November 7, 2010

This bracelet is a great idea. 10ft of paracord could come in handy in a variety of situations. But here is my problem.... the bracelet is 3 beans (i bought 2) - with shipping it was a total of 16 dollars. spending this much made me apprehensive about ripping it up to use it - and that was the whole idea behind getting it! (of course in a real survival situation I would not think about it.) So my advice would be to buy the bracelet - once. then get some para cord and go online and find instructions on making one yourself. I spent 5 dollars on 50ft of para cord and re-used the same buckle and now have no problem taking apart the bracelet for anything. I just knotted it up again and it took about 20 minutes, but I really think it was because it was my first time knotting the bracelet myself. In the future I expect it to take about 10 mins tops. Just a thought - the bracelet is top notch and there are a ton of uses for para cord. Just my 2 cents on saving 2 cents...LOL

5.0 out of 5 stars Its What You Need Before You Need It, May 24, 2011
This review is from: Para-Cord Survival Bracelet "Black" 9 Inch (Misc.)
I received one of these in a care package while serving in the Army in Afghanistan. It has about 24 feet of "para-cord", known in the military as "550 cord". The beauty of 550 cord is that it will support an immense amount of weight, up to 550 lbs (allegedly). Having it in a 9 inch bracelet makes it convenient, and means not having to sacrifice space in your pocket by leaving behind something else of value.

The only complaint that I had with it was upon first arrival. It was stiff and was taking a while to conform to the shape of my wrist. This process can be sped along by soaking it in hot water and then wearing it.

When the time comes, you just pull the ends back through the loop and unravel the bracelet. I have seen these used as: impromptu clotheslines, replacement straps for body armor, replacement weapon slings, and leashes for a variety of animals among other things. I still carry mine, comfortably secure in the knowledge that I will have a length of lifesaving cord when I need it most.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top quality affordable Para Cord Bracelet!, August 26, 2010

I purchased this Para-Cord Survival Bracelet mainly because of its price. Don't let the low cost run you off! After I received it, I discovered that a cheap price don't always mean a cheaply made product. I am very happy with the purchase I made of this particular para cord product. The 9 inch bracelet fits perfectly. It comes with a very nice snap type buckle that seems to keep it secure to my wrist. The knots are secure, ties are tight and overall it looks GREAT! Best of all to me, its Made in the USA by an American Veteran! I'll be ordering a few more IM sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, but too big., July 5, 2011

I'm 6'3" 220lbs and i bought the 9" braclet thinking i would need the larger size. Well, this thing is huge! I can literally put it around my ankle no problem. If you think you need the 9" braclet over the 8" definately break out the measuring tape and double check the size of your wrist. Other than being too big for me this product is exactly as advertised. The clip looks to be good quality and the weave of the paracord is very tight and doesnt look like it will come undone. I will probably buy a second braclet... this time the 8".

I like the item but unfortunately it is too large for my wrist and too small for my ankle. I would only recommend if you have a thicker build not for lanky types.

What I received, was not what was pictured...the photo shows a fairly large, solid looking buckle...but what I got was a little wimpy thing, that comes undone, with a slight tug...
Another thing to consider is the fact that 9 inches is way to big for most people...make sure you measure your wrist before you order one of these from a quality seller.

It just arrived and I took it out of the box. You would expect the clasp to stay closed instead it just falls apart. Its not broke they just use a very cheap clasp. Maybe I expected too much for $ 3.50.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, Good Price, Bad Sizing, October 11, 2011

I bought one of these for my husband. After reading reviews re: these being oversized, I figured it would be perfect for him. He's a big & tall guy (shops at big & tall for clothes, shops at bigheadcaps for hats, wears watches on the last or 2nd-to-last hole, etc...). Even on him it was huge. He can easily fit his middle three fingers in the extra space between the bracelet and his wrist, and can even fit a fourth with little trouble. We just measured his wrist at 8 and 1/2 inches. This bracelet was just a shade under 11 inches from (end of) clasp-to-(end of)clasp. I can't imagine this being the right size for anyone, as my husband is a big guy. As others have written...it's too big for the wrist, too small for the ankle.

It was cheap (which isn't a requirement for me...I'd rather buy something well-made and pay more). It shipped with Prime (that I love). It seems fairly well-made. The sizing is way off.
