"Para que no me olvides" fue mi primer libro de Marcela Serrano y aun cuando la lectura fue sumamente rapida, no ha sido uno de mis libros favoritos, es bueno, pero no excelente. Talvez el problema estuvo en que esperaba mucho mas y no recibi precisamente eso... La historia se inicia cuando el personaje principal (Blanca) sufre de "afasia" y a raiz de esto toda su vida cambia y es precisamente ahi donde la autora comienza a entremezclar muy bien distintas epocas de la vida de Blanca; su vida con su esposo e hijos, con el gringo y con la enfermedad que al final la lleva a un final tragico.

Definitivamente el libro muestra los detalles de dicha enfermedad y la reaccion de las personas ante situaciones que nosotros mismos nos creamos, como lo fue el caso de Blanca. Recomiendo adquirir "Para que no me olvides", pues no solamente fue una muy buena entretencion sino que al mismo tiempo me abrio las puertas hacia el mundo de esta autora chilena.

Unique story, heartbreaking, intelligent. I am not aware that Serrano's work has ever been translated into English. But it's about time! English speaking readers are missing one of the best Latin American books in the last few years.

Marcela serrano es una de las mejores escritoras latinoamericanas. En esta novela expresa el sufrimiento de una mujer como nadie puede expresarlo. no solo Para que no me olvides es un excelente libro sino, asi tambien Nosotras que nos queremos tanto y Antigua vida mia. Dentro de lo que se denomina la literatura femenina o feminista (como ustedes quieran) es lo mejor. El pensamiento femenino esta muy bien descripto en la tinta de M. Serrano.
