About the Author

Dr. Pamela Reeve is a popular author, conference speaker, and adviser and professor at Multnomah Bible College and Seminary in Portland, Oregon. When she was a new Christian and a recent graduate in architecture from New York University, she took a lifelong vow of celibacy. Soon after, a pastor challenged her to go into full-time ministry, forsaking professional advancement in the field she loved. From a thriving ministry as principal of a Christian high school in Southern California, God led her next to Multnomah, where she served as dean of women for twenty-three years.

Once again Pamela Reeve has combined stunning photography with thought provoking text. Do you know how many of the 50 to 70 grapevine offshoots are kept each year? Neither did I, but knowing it now helps me keep the trials and tribulations of this life in eternal perspective.

Someone gave this book (Parables of The Vineyard) to me years ago when I was going through a very difficult time. With a hard childhood behind me and a difficult season of life at the time, this book felt like God was speaking to me directly, giving me the comforting perspective I so desperately needed. My husband also read it. His journey in life wasn't as difficult, yet this book encouraged him as well. I loved it so much that I often gave it to others who I knew were going through a hard time. I bought a case of them and handed them out at addiction recovery graduations where I was a volunteer and they told me it meant a lot to them as well. As you can see, I really got a lot out of it. I don't typically buy books by the case!

Dr. Pamela Reeve is a true schollar of Jesus, she uses her experiences and wisdom to write books. I just loved this book as I did her others. I had the opportunity to meet her, and what a blessing that was. I would recomend this book, it is worth the read.
