Another great cast of Newton characters!, April 2, 2005
This review is from: Paradigm (Paperback)
As with all of Newton's books, the characters in Paradigm invite you in as a close observer of their drama. When four year old Danny disappears under startling circumstances, the reader is gripped in a clock-ticking search for the child and the truth.
Kate Manning, loving mother, must battle a power-crazed research doctor, a suspicious detective and her own fears. How can she convince others what she can hardly believe, that Danny disappeared before her very eyes? What do the boy's telekinetic powers have to do with the strange apparition?
Readers will love-to-hate the deadbeat dad, the religious fanatic grandmother and the sinister government types lurking in the shadows. There are twists at every turn.
This suspense filled book will keep you caught up in the mystery of Kate and Danny while offering a little romance, a few lighthearted moments and unforgettable characters. You'll find yourself wanting a sequal- soon!
In this age of gratuitous violence and sex creeping into every genre, it's refreshing to find a book that doesn't pander to to cheapness and relies on a great plot, deliciously served up with entertaining sub-plots and a great cast. Paradigm is certainly suitable for young adults as well.
This is Newton's hat-trick; three books totally unrelated except for their great writing!
