Although I am quite well read in the subject of plant based nutrition, The Paradigm Diet was informative and inspiring.

I've tried Atkins, I've tried calorie restriction, I've tried the GOMAD milk diet (which was disastrous!). The only thing that worked, for a time, was the Zone Diet and even then I became really really constipated.

I watched the DVD Forks over Knives and decided that a plant based diet was something that I wanted to try. I didn't really believe that it was a healthy lifestyle - a person needs protein and all that. Just a week or so before going vegan I'd said at work, 'Yeah vegans; they can't raise they're voices or get erections.' Everyone laughed. Then I came into work, after watching Forks over Knives, and sheepishly declared, 'Guys, I'm ... becoming a vegan.'
Watching the DVD was all it took to convince me, but going vegan was a lot harder. I tried the Engine 2 diet, which I just couldn't get into. I got the Forks Over Knives cookbook, which was great but I found it hard to put into practice day to day. Then I found the paradigm diet.

The paradigm diet is AMAZING. It's simple, it's easy, and the food is delicious. I've haven't felt this good in, I can't remember the last time I felt this good. Just start the day with one of the breakfast fruit smoothies and you'll be hooked.

Here's a run down of some of the good points that I've experienced:

-I've lost 6 kilos (or 13 pounds)
-my skin is clear and glowing
-my ex asked me if I'd had botox
-I fall asleep straight away and wake up refreshed
-I feel incredible
-I'm getting more erections now than I did when I was 14

If you aren't sure whether you should buy this book just download the sample like I did. The books a pleasure a read, it's well written and funny, and it will change your life. Just give it a go.

Dr. Adam Dave, M.D: Author, and plant-based, triathlete. And for those seeking a good, healthy way of life - yet NOT, perhaps, quite prepared to 'go 100% raw?' A 'real life-saver,' I'd say. Details here...

Why is plant-based super-athlete and author, Dr. Adam Dave M.D.'s, The Paradigm Diet, 'for my money,' the most useful book ever penned, on perhaps Man's ideal diet - the 80-10-10 diet? First: Dave M.D.'s approach offers, in my experience - and that of a large number with whom I've worked - the full range of benefits garnered on the much tougher-to-maintain (for most, I'd say), raw, fruit-based diet. Excellent, reliable digestion and elimination. A low 'toxic load.' And a high degree of nutrients, 'per bite.' And two: Dr. Dave's approach carries with it, just a couple of key differences, making his plan FAR more 'doable,' in my opinion, for most. More 'doable,' I mean, than would be a 100% raw, fruit-based regimen. Particularly for the average, formerly standard-western-diet-eating...consumer.

Those differences? Well, Dave M.D. incorporates the bean (botanically, a fruit), into his recommended protocol. An 80-10-10 food, generally-speaking, in most cases; and one, rich in nutrients and fiber. And, a food which has the advantage of digesting in the stomach to a large degree; rather than bypassing it quickly - as does sweet fruit, to the digestive tract in about 30 minutes.

Why is this important? Well, in my experience, there is simply one critical feature about the 100% raw, fruit-based diet, that the vast majority of formerly toxic-food-addicted folk, 'can't handle.' One many find, 'intolerable.' And one that pushes them, in many cases, 'over the edge,' and often, 'crashing back down,' to less-than-desirable eating habits.

Although I am quite well read in the subject of plant based nutrition, The Paradigm Diet was informative and inspiring. It has helped me complete my quest for the most ideal human diet. Dr. Dave is a fabulous author making the read very entertaining while educating at the same time. I contacted him with a few questions regarding my own diet and he helped answer my questions thoroughly being specific and detailed in his approach. I am very impressed with this author-not to mention he is an M.D. which adds even more weight to what he states. Get the book, read it, do it. You will be very happy you did!

I have read just about every book out there on nutrition and in particular plant based nutrition. Adam Dave's Paradigm Diet was a refreshing surprise. I found it right before the holidays and thinking I had nothing left to learn, purchased it impulsively as a light read (and more arsenal for the family) for the airplane trip home for the holidays. I was shocked when I cracked the book and happily surprised with the new knowledge it provided. The information is fairly dense. At the same time Dr. Dave provided the information in a digestible format and I was able to pick up information that I did not previously know or had not been able to assimilate before.

In addition, Adam Dave, M.D. has a very interesting blog that repeats much of the best snippets from his book with some additional information as well. He was also offering a special deal wherein if you purchased his book he would perform a nutrition analysis of your diet for a very low cost. I said what the hey and partook. I could not believe how detail-oriented and spot on his analysis was of my diet from an interpersonal standpoint (the non-nutritive aspects of my life that might be contributing to some of my less than ideal behaviors) and from a nutritional standpoint. I found myself consistently mentioning that he really needed to charge more for his services because I could not believe the quality or quantity of the information he provided to me. Best thing was that some skin issues I was having completely cleared up with his advice and I lost a couple of pounds, even over the holidays. I am a big fan of Dr. Dave and am happy I coincidentally came across his book and work. I would highly recommend it.
