Horrible Stands and Horrible Support from Paradigm!,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Paradigm LS-20 Floorstanding Speaker Stands (Pair, Silver) (Electronics)
Ordered these stands for my new Paradigm Cinema 110 CT system, and it has become very clear that these stands are poorly constructed and cannot support the Cinema 110 Left and Right speakers. For $170, you would expect a high quality product much like their speakers, but big BUYER BEWARE on this!
Upon setting up my first set which is quite easy to setup, the hole where the actual bar/stand inserts into broke away from one side of the base thus causing a lot of play in the stand holding the speaker. I figured I got a bad set and got a quick replacement set from Amazon and upon setting this set up the exact same thing happened. The base actually cracked more and there was just way too much "play" in the stand thus making the speaker feel like it could fall at any minute. When the first set of stands broke I contacted Paradigm support (slow turn around 2 business days) they essentially pointed me back to Amazon, fine, which got my replacement to me in under 2 days. After the second set broke I contact Paradigm support back notifying them of my issues with these stands. They requested that I send my receipts, which I did along with pictures of what was happening. Of course, after 3 business days this time I received a reply back stating "I do understand your frustration and I discussed your request with my manager. Unfortunately, I'm unable to offer another way to resolve this matter other than through Amazon.com" Then they go on to state that my speakers can be properly supported with these stands. So, as of right now I am a frustrated customer that needs a set of stands to properly support these speakers and the manufacture of the stands and speakers are turning their heads the other way and for me to take it up with Amazon. (I need stands due to my room configuration, otherwise I would mount these to a wall or have table stands). Again, horrible support from Paradigm on a product they shouldn't put their names on if they don't want to support it.

I bought a pair at $20 for my Paradigm CT110 floor speakers. [...]
Paradigm speaker stands are not well made, you can't use banana plus and my speakers are still bit loose.

I bought two pair for my front right and left Paradigm Cinema 110 CT speakers and my surround right and left Cinema 110 CT.
They are solid and in perfect working order. They show no stress or cracking after 3 months of daily use 2-6 hours a day. |
