I purchased mine (black ash color) through STO sound and Vision (an amazon retailer and Paradigm authorized retailer), but got them at the actual brick and mortar store conveniently located less than 10 miles from me.

After doing alot of research on speakers in this price range ($200-350 per pair), I kept hearing great things about the Paradigm Atom speakers (V6 model). I currently run 5 of these in a 5.1 configuration (Using a Velodyne Vx-11 subwoofer).

Whether you run 2, 4, or more of these atom speakers, the sound is phenomenal, and I've found that after about 50 hours of break-in they sound even better.

The highs and mids are crisp, clear, and really travel well. The bass response range is limited due to the size of these speakers, but bass has a surprisingly nice presence. Bass drums come in nice and tight. I would read a technical review if you are an audiophile looking for more in depth info, but for me I can clearly hear more detail when listening to these speakers than on any set I've listened to previously that is around the same size. Keep in mind, the sound EQ is very flat, so you will need an equalizer if you want exaggerated bass/mid/treble combinations. I can blast these speakers with no distortion to levels I wouldn't even feel comfortable listening to in a 12'x16' sized room. A larger room would probably be better suited for the next Paradigm model up.

These speakers don't require a terribly large amount of power, though without a subwoofer and high pass filter, I would probably recommend an amplifier capable of at least 50W per channel as a max output.

I was previously using a micro component system capable of 30W max per channel, and I seemed to lose some high frequency music when heavy bass was present.

I use four of these, a Paradigm center and two lower-end Paradigm subs for a home theater sound system. Previous to these, I have owned a Bose system in my car, an older high-end Yamaha system, and a mid-range JBL system. Hands down, after listening to these, I cannot appreciate another set of speakers, they truly do not disappoint. The sound is amazingly clear, and holds clarity regardless of volume. The only speakers I could recommend over these would be bigger Paradigms.
