Chalee Rocks!,

This review is from: Parading in the Rain (Audio CD)
I am so sad because Chalee has never really had the chance to get onto radio other than i n TN. She is a great talent, and this album is worth listening to. She sings songs of struggle and triumph, overcoming the odds,a nd just being a woman. This girl has got it! I think this is her best work yet.

Chalee's latest CD is GREAT. I have been a HUGE fan of hers since her first selftitled CD. She has been on Three labels and had three CDs. She should be BIG, but hasn't had the right promotional team. Songs like "Me & Mexico", "I am LOVE", "Parading in the Rain", "Believe" are all better than most of the songs on the Radio. Buy this CD and her other three. I just hope this isn't the last we hear from her.

Join The Parade,
This review is from: Parading in the Rain (Audio CD)
Chalee really started to hit her stride with her last album "This Woman's Heart", which included the fantastic "Go Back" single and I was a bit worried about the "traditionally tricky" third album that has appeared as "Parading In The Rain".Well - I can now rest easy!! From the first track it's clear that Chalee is in fine form both vocally and lyrically. "Easy Lovin' You" has to be amongst the most beautiful and honest country songs I've heard. On the uptempo stuff like the title track and "Me & Mexico", the choruses are catchy and memorable and Chalee sounds like she's loving every minute of singing them. There is a sense of honesty and commitment to the material that is sorely lacking in much of Nashville's current output! The lyrics of a Chalee song often tell a familiar story in a fresh way, not unlike Reba at her best. None of that "I loved him, he left me, ooh ooh ooh" for Chalee. Here you get thought and DEPTH combined with a beautifully rich and powerful voice. With disappointing recent albums from many established female country "stars", it's amazing to me that Chalee and this album isn't a massive hit everywhere! For anyone new to Chalee I say "come join the parade!" - you sure won't regret it.

Chalee Tennison has been around a few years, and has never broken out onto the national country music scene, but she is as good or better than a lot of singers with a much wider audience. She sings with all the emotions in the classic country style of joy, sorrow, tragedy, hope and redemptions of love gone wrong. Much of her material is autobiographical in nature, but not so personal that it gets in the way of our own appreciation of her as a vocalist. "Hank (Williams) Did It That Way." Give her a listen and you just may find a new voice to warm your heart and kick your imagination into high gear!!

Chalee is a wonderful female vocalist and songwriter! She's a real woman who's not afraid to bare her soul! There's no fluff here! Just wonderful emotional songs that you'll never get tired of hearing. This is the woman to watch and with the Dreamworks Dream Team Behind her, there's no limit to how far she'll go! If you want great entertainment, this is the CD to buy!

Chalee one of the best?,

What can i say? Her vocals speak for themselves. From the first time she opens her mouth to sing til the moment she closes it at the end of the cd she will leave you breathless. This woman is overlooked big time and i havent a clue as to why. Chalee has the potential to become one of the best in her genre if more people stood up and took notice of this enchanting song bird. When i heard "Someone Else's Turn to Cry" off her first cd i was hooked. She sings so beautifully it amazes me. This cd was more than i expected it to be. Im more into slower country songs but this cd even with the fast songs grabs you by the ears and never lets you go leaving you wanting for for more. I wish there were more songs on it hell she could have made it a double cd and i wouldnt have complained in fact i think that should be her next project. If you are reading this chalee pleaseeeeeeeee consider that idea or atleast add a few mopre songs. Bottom line if you dont have this cd ""GET IT NOW"!

Are you ready to parade?,

Chalee Tennison is quite possibly the most underrated artist in country music today. Why radio hasn't caught on, I'll never know. The latest album proves to be the best, and most emotional, yet. The opening track, "I Am Love," is a breath-taking declaration of love and devotion. "Parading In The Rain" is an upbeat and uplifting tune that will make you want to grab an umbrella and dance (trust me, I've done it). "Easy Lovin' You" is a real-life story about Chalee and her oldest daughter (who provides the harmony vocals on this track). "Lonesome Road" is a rip-roaring toe-tapper with a hint of bluegrass flair. "The Mind of This Woman" has an almost haunting melody and is a song that ANY woman can relate to. "Me and Mexico" is a fun, up-beat number that will have you craving tacos and tequila. "I Am Pretty" is an absolutely beautiful song with an emotional message (if this one doesn't make you tear up, check your pulse). "Cheater's Road" is modern country cheatin' song penned by singer/songwriter Jason Sellers. "More To This Than That" is a Gary Burr/Carolyn Dawn Johnson tune about the perils of divorce. "Believe" is an inspirational look at love and life. "Peace" is a well-written tearjerker about people searching for...well, peace. The flawless vocal tracks and brilliant arrangements are sure to make this album an excellent addition to any true music lover's collection. So, jump on the bandwagon - I think it's time for a PARADE!

This is the One for Chalee!!,

From the first note of this album you know this is true Chalee Tennison music. The first album track "I Am Love" puts it all out there and really shows off Chalee's range and power. The second song "Parading in the Rain" is one of the best on the album and is also the current radio single. The song is one of those "roll down your windows and crank up the volume" type of songs that you never get tired of and that just make you feel good! Other stand outs are the emotional "I Am Pretty" a song about one woman finding the courage and inner strength to get out of a bad situation. No matter which song you choose, this new album from Chalee Tennison doesn't dissapoint. Though the songs are more radio friendly Chalee doesn't cave in to the industry "pop" trend. There are true to life country songs on this album like the CDJ/Gary Burr penned "More To This Than That," a song about divorce and dealing with it. Chalee is a woman with roots and they show throughout "Parading in the Rain" she never backs down and that is what keeps the listeners coming back. You can relate to her music and to her life. She sings about REAL things and things in everyday life. Album standouts are "I Am Love", "Parading in the Rain", "More To This Than That" ,"I Am Pretty", "Believe", and "Peace." So I encourage you to purchase this album and BELIEVE IN CHALEE!! If you love Chalee check out the DreamTeam www.dreamworksdreamteam.com !!

Can it get any worse?,

Well, this is the worst album that I've heard this year. Her voice sounds very harsh...which makes it nearly impossible to listen to this album. Now, Tanya Tucker's voice is rough, but she still sounds good...whereas Chalee's singing just doesn't sound good. Taylor Swift can't sing very well either, but at least her voice sounds a little better. Don't waste your money, but Carrie Underwood or Kellie Pickler's album instead.
