Certainly, Bill Conti's score is terrific, but the real winners for me are the two tracks by Tom Waits: Annie's Back in Town and Meet Me In Paradise Alley. Of the two, the first is one of the most beautiful songs Waits has ever penned, and has unfortunately only appeared on bootleg concerts from the late seventies. While his live performances are excellent (though, difficult to come by), it is too bad that Annie's Back in Town and Meet Me... are MIA from Orphans, as they would be a welcome addition for any fan.
