Cerrone is hands down Europe's finest Disco band ever. Their sounds influenced everything from American Disco-era acts to Madonna and Erasure. Not everything by Cerrone is dancable, but many track have a groovy vibe to instantly take you back to the hedonism of the late 70's. The Paradise Collection is a great introduction to any Disco novice, many of their classics are represented , as well as a few new ones. The bonus remix CD is a real hit and miss , many of the remixes have a late 90's club sound. Overall this is the best current compilation out there.

I really liked this comp despite the fact that bad edits and unnecessary remixes almost mar the potential for this to be a great intro to CERRONE'S classic and iconic 70's disco music. He was brilliant and the short snippets here will leave you begging and digging for more. The sound is great, clear and precise, and the choices well thought out. There's just not enough of it considering some of his songs ran 16 minutes or so. The second cd of remixes could have been replaced with another disc of material that allowed all the tracks to run thier original times. But if you wanna hear a little class you can't go wrong here.
