Another great CD from the king of "Gangsta R&B",

He's got a great voice, great production, inspiring lyrics, and he's kept it real over the years despite the disappointments of his somewhat unsuccessful career. If there's anyone who deserves to blow-up, it's definitely TQ.

other than the forgettable track "In My Lap", you can go through the whole album without pressing skip. Great beats but most of all, TQ's voice and words makes you want to turn it up even louder. TQ is waaay underrated, if rated at all by the public. Give him a listen, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

TQ is one of the sickest artists out right now. r&b from the streets with sick beats i dont know what homie was sayin bout this album being garbage cause hes stayed true and kept to the same formula as earlier albums and it works again. if u live in Cali, its a must have! ride with the top down bumpin this and watch the breezy come runnin.!! YEAH!

This single is hot!!! TQ has been doing his thing for years. It's too bad people don't really know who he is. Let's hope this single gets him into the mainstream of radio music so we can get a lot more music from him soon.

"Paradise" has been a long time coming for TQ. This is a talented musician who is able to express emotion and detail in his work. This album is great for new fans of his as well as old; it has that 90's-sound that made him famous with songs like "Westside" and "Bye Bye Baby" and stays true to what he's good at.TQ doesn't get near the publicity he should, but just about every track is something to enjoy.

Disapointing,

TQ's music has always been unique to me. He sung about subject matter that other r&b singers wouldn't go near and the production stood out, especially on his previous album Listen. He became one of my favorite r&b singers and I held great expectations for this album. When I saw that it released early at my Best Buy, I nearly jumped with excitement. Once I listened to it the whole way through though, I thought to myself... this is it? I read an interview with TQ where he said that he had COMPLETE creative control over this album so I was expecting something a little bit more innovative than this... or atleast something mildly creative for that matter.Nothing stands out about this album at all. His lyrics are now cliche' and boring for the most part and the production sounds like every other r&b album that's been released within the past few years. There's nothing interesting about the album. He tried to be meaningful on very few tracks and when he did, it didn't hold my attention. It was still boring. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the people who expect every song to make a statement. I love to party to TQ's earlier music too, mostly They Never Saw Me Coming. I can't even chill to this album because the club tracks lack the phat slow bassline that use to bump in his songs. These beats sound like something Lil Jon left off his Crunk Juice album. Maybe if I play this album a couple of more times I'll have a change of heart but for now, it's safe to say that TQ changed for the worse. |
