5.0 out of 5 stars Industrial Paradise, January 27, 2000
By
Josh Hammonds (Fayetteville, GA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Paradise Now (Audio CD)
This is a great album from some of the grand daddies of industrial music, Die Krupps. Not quite as good as their previous effort, Odyssey of the Mind, but still an adrenaline-pumping thrashfest. There's a lot more emphasis on guitars, almost to the point of sounding like a speed metal band, which works beautifully on most songs, but just flops on a few. The guitar emphasis is about the only thing negative about the album, as some songs tend to sound a bit generic. However, the rest of the tracks totally make up for the few weak ones. Stand-outs include Moving Beyond, Black Beauty White Heat, (A New) Society Treaty, the blazingly fast 30 Seconds, and the severely f'ed up Fire. All in all, an excellent album. A must for any Krupps fan, or any industrial music fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars killing crossover, June 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Paradise Now (Audio CD)
With "Paradise Now", Die Krupps gets more agressive and constructive : heavy metal guitars, shouting voices and beating electronic sounds. With this album, DK becomes one of the most interesting crossover band.
