I have been addicted to this tea for years and, as I introduce it to my friends, they become fans, too. It's unsweetened but has so much flavor you will never miss the sweetener. On the other hand, it's not too fruity. It's truly the most refreshing drink around.

You can buy the single-pot bags, but these larger bags make this one of the least expensive drinks you'll find. I cut open a bunch of the bags and pour the tea into a canister. I make it in a coffee pot that has never touched coffee (very important). For each pot, I use 2 tablespoons (1 coffee scoop) of loose tea and an ordinary coffee filter.

Year round, it's the best drink around.

I have purchased this tea locally for years in small quantities and and have paid double for it. It is unsweeted which I like but the tropical flavor keeps it from being boring. I have to admit, I am addicted to this tea! When I saw it available through Amazon and the price, I decided to buy it. This huge box will last me probably 2 years! Each tea bag makes a gallon or more..very happy with this purchase!

I live for this tea. I go the cheesecake factory all the time just so I can order this and have 5 refills. Then, this year, I had the great idea to find out where to buy it online. Which brought me here. I was a little upset to see that my only real option was to buy it in giant bulk - but I took the plunge anyway. I even found a $20 rebate form when I was looking around online for deals - I suggest you look around to see if there is still one available.

When I first brewed this tea, I was disappointed. Something was wrong with the taste. It was not my beloved cheesecake factory iced tea. But it was still ok. However, I am not a master iced-tea brewer, and I soon discovered there is nothing wrong with the tea, but there is something (well ok, many things) wrong with me. I played around with the proportions of water with the second batch, and kind of made a small "concentrate" serving. Using that, I made it by the cup...finding the PERFECT balance. Omg it was like Christmas! It tasted exactly like what I wanted. I had simply been brewing it too strong before.

So. If you want an awesome tea (or are looking for the cheesecake factory tropical tea) with a slight tropical/fruity flavor that is really refreshing, not too much flavor to overwhelm, not too sweet, just perfect, just do it. Take the plunge. You won't regret it!

Smuckers has purchased Paradise Tropical Tea from Sara Lee, & it looks like the normal consumer-sized tea bags aren't available during the transition, but these commercial packs are awesome. One 1-ounce pack brews a really strong tea ... but adding water/ice to dilute it = double the tea for the same price! I have a Hamilton Beach iced tea maker and I run three cycles for one tea bag. It makes at least two full pitchers of tea. At $66/box, that's $1.32 per tea bag = $0.66/pitcher. Awesome. I think the grocery stores sold the 4-pack smaller bags for $8, and one bag barely brewed enough for one pitcher.

Add sliced oranges to the pitcher, it'll enhance the flavor just like Cheesecake Factory, makes a huge difference. Oh, and Smuckers has changed the branding/logo for Paradise. When I first received the box, I thought I may have received a knock-off. Thank goodness for Google. Same great flavor, just a different look.

I don't like the big bags because I don't want to make that much tea at once. But I open the bag and divide the tea in half. Then I use either my Mr. Ice Tea pot with a filter or my Mr. Coffee. Both are great and half the bag works fine.

I first had this in a Latin restaurant and chased it down to make at home. when the local supply disappeared, i started buying it on line. Fruity without being too sweet. i drink the decaf version.

Only the Gold packets with Paradise Tea Logo (non-transparent) have the large, tropical flower pieces which really
give it the tropical tea flavor. I've seen the ones at Cheesecake Factory, opened one up and viola - large chunks of dried,
tropical flowers. If these bags don't have this, then it will not have the full flavor that Cheesecake Factory tea has.

This used to be my favorite tea. I would buy this by the case and make huge batches of iced tea. They changed the taste...it's terribly plastic tasting now. They also changed their packaging. Now each tea bag comes in a mylar packet which is fine but their sealing process melted each tea bag into the sealed edge. You can't get the tea bag out of the packet without tearing it. My iced tea not only tastes terrible but also has loose tea floating in it. Don't waste your money on this now horrible product.
