Paradogs - self-titled (Voiceprint), November 14, 2004
Not sure where the title 'Foul Play At The Earth Lab' came from,but after looking at the track listing,I discovered this is the SAME disc of the band that's self-titled that was released on the Voiceprint label.Paradogs is the side project from current Hawkwind guitarist Jerry Richards along with fellow Tubilah Dog member,synth player Alf Hardy.The CD's best track is the pulsatingly tripping nine-minute "Flesh And Blood",could've EASILY been a Hawkwind song.Other good tunes are "Blue Filters For The Orographic Clouds",the atmospheric "Aim","Trance Of Sorrow",the industrial like "Loose Coupled Freight" and the out-of-this-world "Dreams Of Cydonna".Twelve songs total of very well produced mostly hard-driving space rock.Check it out when you can.
