Disclaimer: Price has a part to do with this review. If the price of this collection were less than or equal to buying Warband and Fire and Ice, then this rating would skyrocket to a 5 for me. Read on to see why price is important for this review.

Grouping these games into a collection is simply not a good idea because of what the games are. Briefly, the games:

Mount & Blade:
A game that is definitely not for everyone. But if you like sandbox games, medieval horseback fighting AND (note "and," not "or") strategy games, then you might just love this game.

You start out near a town that is usually holding a tournament. You can join the tournament (a tiered gladiatorial combat ladder) and end up with a bunch of money or you can use your small starting money and start trading. Or you can go do some tasks for a king or other noble. Or kill some raiders and collect a bounty. Or any combination.

Eventually, you'll be able to declare allegiance, occupy and own villages and cities, manage the cities with basic building options and, of course, fight for your king.

You'll also help NPCs finish their stories. Some may be looking to kill someone from their past. Or they might want to infiltrate a throne b/c they are the true heir.

The combat is brutal. A few good hits and you're down. You'll be able to give orders to your men as they combat entire armies on the field. But you'll only be in full control of yourself. You can use Dungeons and Dragons RPG-style experience points to level up your field command abilities, your combat abilities and other traits (like trading and the ability to hold more hostages).

For the price, the game is amazing. Warband is the only one worth getting though, as it include a better version of the first and has an expansion that is better than the content of with fire and sword

though it didnt come with a steam key, which makes for a hassle while playing online with people who purchased it over steam, it is still an amazing game.
