This is a very fun collection of Paradox Interactive games, although it is best described as a grab-bag of different game types and themes, mainly strategy games.

Magicka is a fun fast-twitch game of typing spells in a Diablo-esque game within a semi-detailed parody fantasy world. It is a very linear game, with a basic storyline, but the extremely innovative game-play makes up for most of its flaws. The main negative is a lack of an active multiplayer base for the game. I have no idea why this is so, as the game is very fun to be creative with.

Victoria 2 is a greatly improved take on the first Victoria game. For the uninitiated, it is basically a game of Risk merged with a detailed sociological-historical simulation, set primarily in the 19th Century C.E. and extending over part of the 20th Century C.E. It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it is rewarding to master it while playing many different nations.

Crusader Kings 2, is basically a role-playing game themed version of Europa Universalis (itself a Risk like game that spans the medieval period through the age of colonization). This game focuses more on maintaining a dynasty, dealing with internal politics, and struggling to survive in a brutal world where your family members are heirs willing to wage war against your for a single keep. This game is one-part The Sims, one part Risk, and two parts Sid Meier's Civilization, to those of you who haven't played Europa Universalis; if you have played EU, this will feel like an elaborate, original mod of EU.

The Sword in the Stars series is an original bunch of 4X strategy games of expansion through military innovation and strategic positioning. I'd describe this as what Masters of Orion would have evolved to become. The second version is very much a beta version that is continually updated about monthly.

Best deal on games you can possibly purchase. You get the best game of 2012 (CrusaderKings II) plus more Paradox gaming goodness. How can you beat that?

Really interesting video games to play if you like strategy games(Magicka is an Action RPG).
More so interesting for a cheap pricing as well at the time. A shame that there was the bundle with Crusaders King 2 DLC for a similar pricing a month later or so.
If I were you and wanted to play these games one day, but have a huge backlog of video games, wait till this or the other bundles are back in stock for sale. Seasonal Steam sales should net you an equivalent bundle and pricing.

Only half the games can be activated on Steam
Thanks! I prefer games on Steam. It's unfortunate the other two games are not Steam games.
