Book Description

February 17, 2008
A daring collection of original social commentary and poetry challenging readers to look beyond the conventional assumptions we take for granted. Re-examining the thinking behind our beliefs, Paradox insightfully explores humanity and how we create the future, today. Philosopher poet Sean Stubblefield opens a contemplative door to a journey within ourselves, reconciling the paradoxes of who we are and are not, so we may bring out the best in us. Belief becomes behavior. What we believe about reality defines how we interact with reality. Therefore, we must be responsible for being aware of what we think and why... finding our own unique purpose and identity. What if the real world isn't what you think it is? And yet, is exactly what you "think" it is? Imagine the possibilities!

4.0 out of 5 stars An insightful and thought provoking read..., May 6, 2008
This review is from: Paradox: Journey Inside Out (Paperback)
Sure, you can look at this book as a practical way of looking at the paradoxes of life, but if you dig deeper, there is a much more significant meaning to the words penned by this insightful author.

Many of us today feel as if we live in a "pass the buck" and "lay the blame anywhere else but on yourself" society.

We see it everywhere, at the doctor's office, at the store, with every, every-day facet of life and many of us are sick to death of it.

In Sean Stubblefield's book Paradox - Journey Inside Out, he forces people to sit back and take a look at the world we have caused. The problem is not mankind...but rather what we have done to society--the lax and apathetic attitudes as to why everything is run like the building of the Tower of Babel.

So many have gotten extremely lazy in how we think if we even do. We allow the government and vocal groups whom people are afraid of offending--because so many today live by the Facism known as Political Correctness--to think for us because God forbid we have a free thought of our own. Don't have an opinion, don't have a thought and don't make a choice! Someone will make it for you.

Life is like High School. Someone is always going to be unpopular for what they wear, how they think, what they say. Does that mean we take the High School approach and beat them up or torment them?

In a way, yes, we do. We ostracize, we harass and we then say, "I was only following what I thought was right!"

For those that live the "follow the leader" way, they get to lay the blame at someone else's feet. Such has become the majority of our society and it seems that Sean Stubblefield has seen it too.

Well, the buck and the blame stop with Paradox. This book makes you think...are you part of the problem? If so, how did you get to be part of the problem and what can you do to fix the mess you helped cause, the contribution you have mad to mankind's downfall?

This is an interesting read and I am glad that someone finally had the guts to stand up and tell the PC Facists of society, "No, it's not all right to foist your will on others--no matter how much you think you're doing people a favor. If you remember...Adolf Hitler thought he too was doing mankind a greater good by telling people what to think, what to feel and what to say. No, the individual ego must not take precedence over the majority wants and needs and if there is a problem, you fix it!

Don't wait for handouts, don't wait for people to do for you.

Who was it said "Be the change you wish to see in others?"

I think the change begins in this book...

5.0 out of 5 stars Paradox: A journey that must be traveled, April 8, 2008

This review is from: Paradox: Journey Inside Out (Paperback)
I must admit I once considered myself quite the intellectual. However, after reading Paradox: Journey Inside Out that is now how I see the world around me - inside out. Sean has opened my eyes and made me see that the mechanics of the universe and life itself is truly a paradox. BRAVO!
