I was given one by a friend and embarked on learning to fuse glass with this type of kiln.Because it has no temp control,only a on and off switch it needs constant watching of temps thru whole fusing process.It is a good small unit to get started on and if you can learn to fuse using this kiln,you can fuse with any other kiln.It does suck the electricity tho,during the holiday season,fusing 2 times a day my electric bill wnt up about $65.00,but I was able to make alot of great projects for the cost.
