Book Description

The critical information paramedics need in the palm of their hands! This convenient field guide contains all the information that paramedics need at their fingertips in the field assessment checklists, anatomic illustrations, vital sign ranges, airway management, medication indications and administration, arrhythmias, and other basic information in the form of tables and charts for quick reference. The full-color, spiral-bound guide is divided into sections that follow the U.S. DOT EMT-Paramedic National Standard Curriculum; sections are divided by color-coded tabs to allow rapid retrieval of information when paramedics need it most. Paramedics will be able to confirm appropriate pediatric ET tube sizes, emergency measures in the event of an infectious exposure, signs and symptoms of acute illnesses, conditions that warrant supplemental oxygen administration, fracture classifications based on displacement, and much more.

This review is from: Paramedic Field Guide (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) (Spiral-bound)
this guide beats the EMS field guide series by a longshot. much more information and fast access by tabs as well. not just for the paramedic either.

2.0 out of 5 stars BULKY!, April 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Paramedic Field Guide (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) (Spiral-bound)
Way to bulky. I wanted something that I could carry with me as a quick reference. This thing is like a textbook. It is full of information though. I'm also not fond of the way they have the drug reference set up. They have the drugs organized by class of medication, not alphabetically.
