Childhood friends and now high school seniors, Hokuto and Yukito will both be living at Yukito's family estate. Hokuto is actually Yukito's first love and because of that, Yukito has been avoiding him since middle school. However, now that the two are next door neighbors, Yukito is forced to gaze at the handsome Hokuto on a daily basis. Yukito soon finds the tables turned when Hokuto seduces him late one night. You would think Yukito would be in heaven seeing as how his prayers have been answered. But love is never simple and easy, in fact, it makes most people paranoid!

Yukito's father's best friend's son is moving into Yukito's home, and Yukito's afraid his childhood crush on him will return. This hardcore yaoi sets its tone early, when Yukito's complaint about the houseguest is that he'll only be able to masturbate in the bathroom from now on. Yukito behaves like a stereotypical Harlequin heroine, bemoaning how his body betrays him when he really doesn't want to have sex with Hokuto, no, not at all, only it feels so good. The characters, supposed to be high school boys, have the big eyes, young faces and slender bodies of preteens. Every aspect of life in this story is permeated with sex. Yukito visits another classroom and gets hit on by the lot of gays in that area (and Yukito is blamed for it, since he's told he's too good-looking to safely enter the class). Yukito's parents spend dinner complimenting the boys' looks. Unsurprisingly, the guest explicitly propositions Yukito his first night there, before proceeding to fondling and flat-out molesting. With this saturated atmosphere (and an accurate explicit content warning promising the reader what they're looking for), the book satisfies the dedicated genre fan by staying focused on its titillating purpose. This is a great book for all yaoi lovers. It has a traditionally shy and uncertain uke with a bolder, confident seme. Hokuto, the seme in this relationship, is somewhat pushy, but his underlying feelings for Yukito, the uke, make this a must-read for yaoi lovers everywhere. The story is rich and interesting while the love-scenes are hot, engaging, and just plain sweet. I found this work enjoyable from beginning to end, and Kazuka Minami's style is soft and beautiful. A must read!

Blushing and cute uke, confident and cool seme, this is what we like in our Yaoi. The plot is delightful, light and "angsy", the artwork pretty. The sex, when they get to it is just plain naughty and delighfully erotic. Naughty and hot words too. A great one for my collection.
