Paranormal State Season 4

Editorial Reviews

Travel deep into the strange and mysterious with Paranormal Research Society (PRS) founder Ryan Buell and his team of investigators as they attempt to unravel inexplicable phenomena including sixth-sense experiences, ghost sightings, demonic disturbances, and brushes with the darkest areas of the unknown.

In Season Four, the PRS travels to New Jersey, where a couple believes spirits in their home are influencing their behavior; North Carolina, where the team attempts to stop the force allegedly causing violent outbursts in a 3-year-old girl, and northern Pennsylvania, where guests are fleeing a famous hotel due to frightening reports of paranormal activity.

Founded by Buell in 2001, the PRS works on cases across the country and is one of the most recognized paranormal societies in the nation. Through the use of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) recordings and video documentation, and with the help of renowned psychics, demonologists, psychologists and counselors, the PRS explores these bizarre cases in the hopes of helping frightened people who have nowhere else to turn.

Now experience all 12 bone-chilling episodes of PARANORMAL STATE: THE COMPLETE SEASON FOUR on 2 DVDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great DVD October 30, 2010
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
It hasn't been very long ago that I thought paranormal occurences were made up. Now I am a true believer. I remembered years ago the house I grew up in had alot of unusual noices and sounds and missing items. I was told by my parents that it was nothing. But watching this show and learning that what I saw and heard probably were ghosts or other things. I like this show because nothing is done to make an investigation more interesting. I think these young investigators have done alot to do away with everything but the real deal. This season is the best one they have done so far and the quality of the show is alot better than other hunters. Good job well done on this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Paranormal shows on TV October 10, 2010
Format:DVD
In comment to the previous reviewer: I don't know if the investigations are staged or not, but I really don't care. The show is entertaining and scary, which if we are honest, is exactly why we watch these shows in the first place. Very few people are watching these shows to get an education in ghost hunting. If you want to be educated, watch Ghost Hunters. If you want to roll your eyes and watch over-the-top investigating, watch ghost adventures. If you want to feel the goosebumps on your arms and have trouble turning off the lights, watch a haunting. As for this show, it is pure enjoyment with some pretty scary stuff in every episode. Chip Coffey is one of my favorite mediums on TV. What about Elaine Warren? You certainly can't dispute her credibility as a medium and she's been on the show several times. There will always be a level of doubt in this genre/field, so take claims of fact or fake with a grain of salt. Can't wait for season 5!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Pleasant Surprise March 20, 2011
Format:DVD
When I purchased "Paranormal State, My Journey into the Unknown", I expected to read just about how Ryab Buell came to be the founder of The Paranormal Research Society and star of Paranormal State. This book does answer those questions concerning his life and so much more. The author, Ryan Buell, bravely gave the readers his truth regarding his life and the many cases on the TV series Paranormal State. He tells the entire story of each case and all the people involved, and reveals the truth, as he sees it.
Ryan did a brillant job telling his personal story. He writes openly on his life's story speaking about the terrifying past to exactly where he is today. This book is a must read for all fans of PRS, as well as many people who had their own paranormal experiances. This book will leave you with the feeling of knowing the truth about each case and everyone involved. I already had a great respect for Ryan Buell, because of the work he does for the many people who have very few places to turn for help with possible paranormal activity. PRS is a group the world needs more of. The care, empathy and solid solutions or at least advise of how to handle tough, unique problems.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too melodramatic and scripted
It's rather a jumbled show with too many predictable outcomes from people who previously messed around with the dark arts and are 'haunted' in later life. Read more

And all of that would be fine if the show was any good. What's this show good for? Propagating Catholic propaganda unto the masses.
