this is a technical review for the set since hardly any info can be found here or online with specific details of what's included. all seasons are complete. season 1 is 3 discs with 20 episodes. season 2 is 2 discs with 11 episodes. season 3 is 3 discs with 20 episodes. season 4 is 2 discs with 12 episodes & season 5 is 21 episodes on 3 discs. all season come in standard size dvd cases with insert trays for the 3 discs set housed in a slip box with art from the show. a total of 84 episodes. running time 32hrs & 36min's + extras. after further inspection season 2 is missing episode #28 "The Messenger", the package states the episode was not cleared for home video release. upon further investigation there is some controversy surrounding this episode where the clients claim the show is fake and staged, that the team & psychic Chip Coffey already had all the info and details surrounding the case. google it and read for yourself & decide. the episode can also be found on youtube. i am a paranormal investigator and would like to believe the show is real, it really upset me to read the article. i really like the show and hope it's not true. still a great set and entertaining to watch, although ghost hunters is still my favorite.

This show was interesting for what it was when it aired. But it had some severe issues. Several times I found myself laughing more than believing.

The concept of the team and their goals was interesting. Lead by the baritone Ryan, the team set out to investigate paranormal activity and help the people troubled by the activity to over come it for free themselves of it. By the time season 5 ended, they were able to assist about 20% of the cases.

Season one starts out interesting, but then I started to notice things about the investigating techniques that made me question the integrity of the show. During its five season run, there were lots of cries of "foul!" claiming that some things were staged. It seems to me that Ryan and the crew started out with good intentions, but then the studio intervened and out came a staged product.

We are told very little about the investigator's them selves. Who are they? By the time the show ended for good, we still know very little. We know that Ryan was scared as a kid by something. We know that Eilfie is a Pagen and that at some point during the series run both her father and brother passed away. Sergey is Russian, I believe. Chad staes he weighs 300 pounds. And we know nothing about Ketrina.

The investigators are very likeable people for the most part. Ryan was very likable when the series began, but by season 5, he was suffering from the "God" complex. Eilfie remained a quiet, mousy person. But in season 5, it appears Ryan kind of mistreated her. He drags her on camera to talk about the deaths of her brother and father and to state he cared. Eilfie politely states "I don't want to talk about it.

I used to love this show, I've seen every episode. .. even when the show started plunging downhill. So years later I got curious and found the show was in fact faked! Bummer! I enjoyed this show very much.

Now years later I am still a little pissed off that this show was fake!

Look it up if you don't believe me.

AWESOME! THE BEST DEAL FOR YOUR MONEY! I LOVED RYAN AND HIS ORIGINAL CAST/CREW. IT IS SO SAD THEY AREN'T ON ANYMORE THAT I KNOW OF BUT UNDERSTAND LIFE GOES ON AND THAT RYAN HAD A SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE. HE WAS AMAZING AND ALWAYS WILL BE. I WATCHED THE SHOW BECASUE HE WAS THAT GOOD. HE WAS FANTASTIC. DOWN TO EARTH AND TOOK ON THE BEST CASES. MUCH BETTER THEN GHOST HUNTERS. THAT ORIGINAL CAST WAS THE BEST ALSO. I WISH BRYAN NEVER WOULD HAVE LEFT THE SHOW. TANGO AND STEVE AND DONNA WERE THE BEST WITH BRYAN, GRANT .

The Paranormal State team helps people with interesting cases and both leading investigators are hot. But for the most part, you get the typical voices on EVP's, occasional things on camera, if you want to be entertained and kill some time, then this is the show for you.
