Now years later I am still a little pissed off that this show was fake!
Look it up if you don't believe me.
The concept of the team and their goals was interesting. Lead by the baritone Ryan, the team set out to investigate paranormal activity and help the people troubled by the activity to over come it for free themselves of it. By the time season 5 ended, they were able to assist about 20% of the cases.
Season one starts out interesting, but then I started to notice things about the investigating techniques that made me question the integrity of the show. During its five season run, there were lots of cries of "foul!" claiming that some things were staged. It seems to me that Ryan and the crew started out with good intentions, but then the studio intervened and out came a staged product.
We are told very little about the investigator's them selves. Who are they? By the time the show ended for good, we still know very little. We know that Ryan was scared as a kid by something. We know that Eilfie is a Pagen and that at some point during the series run both her father and brother passed away. Sergey is Russian, I believe. Chad staes he weighs 300 pounds. And we know nothing about Ketrina.
The investigators are very likeable people for the most part. Ryan was very likable when the series began, but by season 5, he was suffering from the "God" complex. Eilfie remained a quiet, mousy person. But in season 5, it appears Ryan kind of mistreated her. He drags her on camera to talk about the deaths of her brother and father and to state he cared. Eilfie politely states "I don't want to talk about it.Read more ›
