A Super Wildlife Disease Book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Parasites and Diseases of Wild Mammals in Florida (Hardcover)
This book would be a great addition to any wildlife biologist's library. The book covers the diseases of all the wild mammals that occur in and around Florida, from Bats to Whales. Some of the topics covered in each chapter are: trauma, environmental contaminants, rabies, other viruses, bacterial diseases, mycotic infections, protozoan parasites, helminths, and arthropods. All the published disease literature is covered along with an enormous amount of unpublished data contributed by researchers throughout Florida. Each chapter contains many tables and figures which make it easy for the reader to find and understand the infomation presented. Each chapter is concluded with a summary and a detailed literature cited section. Anyone who deals with wildlife in Florida should have a copy of this book.
