Plastic hummingbird feeders, while cost-effective, do leave something to be desired in the aesthetics department. Parasol seems to have realized this, and their beautiful blown glass feeders transcend the standard "plastic flowers" typically used to feed hummers. Carefully handblown using at least 50% recycled glass, each of the Dew Drop feeders is as much a work of art as it is a feeding place for your feathered friends. This model is a stunningly crafted blue flower and comes with an artfully curved hanging hook.

I like this feeder very much because it's heavy blown glass that is colored red - no plastic, and you don't have to add red coloring to the nectar. Also, it hangs at a very natural angle, so the hummingbirds get the hang of it quickly. Shortcomings: it doesn't hold very much nectar. I would estimate it has a 1/3 cup capacity. So if you have alot of birds, you need to refill it every other day or so. Also, the rubber stopper is a little difficult to keep from popping out when the feeder is freshly refilled and the lip is wet. You have to dry it thoroughly to make it stay put. These shortcomings are only minor, and I'm very pleased with the product. I am planning to buy a couple more over time.

Great gift for nature lovers. Got it for my mother-in-law. Much more elegant than typical bowl-shaped feeders.
