Emotionlly Rich,
By Douglas Kingsburg (Johnsonville , SC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Parastoo: Stories and Poems (Paperback)
An amazing stylist. This is really a book to reread, over a lifetime. Its riches are bottomless. Start, at least, with the first six stories. it's highly admirable. A lovely lyrical modern middle Eastern dystopian philosophical romance with life. A collcetion of absolutely harrowing and deep philosophical short stories. Mehri Yalfani is a fine writer; one of the best I have read.

Best book I ever read,
By sheila nick (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Parastoo: Stories and Poems (Paperback)
Parastoo is the most beautiful book I ever read, reading this book I find myself crying sometimes, and laughing at others. It seems to me that it does not matter if the characters are from another land that I know not much about, I am learning as I read and I find myself in almost every page and in every story. A friend of mine found this book and reccomneded it to me and I never regret the hours I spent reading and rereading this wonderful journey of human soul.
